A loud THUMP, followed by hissing and curses, is enough to make my eyes snap wide open. Careful to move too much, I make sure that my breathing hasn't hitched or anything. Already knowing that my heart pace has increased about three times. I then realize that the whispers sound like they're coming from a male, but frown. Donovan would've called my name out or turned the lights on as well. Benen was ruled out when the man started swearing.

Suddenly, I can't help but think that it's Fitton. Before I know it, I'm jumping out of bed and rushing towards the door, not caring about the noise that I'm making. I hear the man curse and then loud footsteps. I see the outline of the door and lunge for it.

And then I feel large arms wrapping around my waist as the man tackles me straight into the door. Sure that I broke some bones somewhere, I groan and stand up again, flicking the light on this time.

When I see Fitton staring back at me with his brown eyes, I immediately lift the possible killer in the air with my telekinesis. He curses madly and swings his limbs around frantically. I'm about to slam the fleeing husband into the ceiling when I feel a sharp pain blossoming from the back of my head, followed by a warm liquid trailing down my shoulder. Groaning, I lose my focus and crumble to my knees instead, dropping Fitton in the process.

Before I know it, Fitton's throwing me across my room. My head bounces forcefully off of the wall I land against before slamming into it again. Shaking my head, I slowly stand myself up. Looking at the kitchen in my room, I use my telekinesis to silently grab a glass from the cupboard. Not letting my eyes look away from Fitton, I slowly bring the glass closer to his head.

Suddenly, the connecting door slams open to show a frantic Sophie. "Fitz!" she shouts. Only when she meets the eyes of Fitton does she pale and stumble back.

When Fitton takes one step towards the female Percipient, I smash the glass against his head. As he falls down, I use telekinesis to pick up all of the glass pieces and arrange them together so they create a thin sword from glass. My panic replaced with anger, I seethe, "Take one more step near her- I dare you."

Fitton doesn't go after her. Instead, he takes another glass and attempts to throw it at me. I duck quickly, and when I hear the glass smashing against the wall behind me, I realize what he's really trying to do.

Getting glass pieces to make a glass sword of his own.

When Fitton grabs his sword, he hisses before pulling back a bloody and repeatedly wounded hand. Instead, he uses his telekinesis to hold it like me. I use this time to try and use my telekinesis to lift him up in the air and drop him, but I manage to only make him lose his firm stance. Fitton then uses his telekinesis to lift me in the air.

I glance over to see Sophie's eyes closed, and I assume that she's transmitting to someone. Probably Laurel or Audrey. When she opens her eyes again, the female Percipient sees Fitton lifting me in the air with telekinesis. Screaming, she whirls around and throws Fitton into the door with her telepathic ability.

I fall down to the ground, but I don't have time to dodge the oncoming glass sword completely. I gasp in pain when the sword cuts a deep wound on my left arm. I then quickly take my shirt off and tie it tightly around my bleeding arm, hopefully buying more time. I then take control over Fitton's sword and throw both glass swords to the side, making them fall apart again. Those weren't going to do us any good at this rate.

I turn just in time to see Sophie lifting a few books around her as possible weapons. When she throws them at him, Fitton stop them just before they hit him. Slipping them back onto my bookshelf, Fitton cackles as he lifts Sophie in the air. Sophie narrows her eyes and lifts him into the air as well, not noticing how she's slowly drifting closer and closer to the ceiling.
