Hayley's P.O.V

I walk aimlessly down the rows of the library, trying to decide which book to settle on. I have to escape from my thoughts. It's 5th year and I'm in the Slug Club. To be honest, I think it's stupid. With everything going on, this teacher just shows up and begins to pick out all the smart and popular students, then begins to throw parties! It's really quite... strange.

Also, Voldemort is back. I don't dare speak his name though. I want to so badly so I can pay respect to my brother who had no fears but I'm just not as brave as him. His name was Cedric Diggory. He died nearly 2 years ago now. It was an awful time for me and my father. My brother and I were really close and father was always so proud of him.

And, to top it all off, I don't know who I'm taking to this Christmas party yet! There's a girl I really want to ask, but she just broke up with her boyfriend, so I'm not sure if she's ready to date yet. I'm also not completely sure if she's into girls. Oh well. Time can only tell. I find a book that looks interesting and sit down to read it.

Ginny's P.O.V

I walk into the library feeling confident. I know she'll be here. She loves reading just as much as I like pestering my brothers, and I love pestering my brothers. There she is! Sitting by herself, reading her book. She looks so calm and content. She's amazing. I really like her.

Her name is Hayley. She is a nice enough girl that can also be fierce when she needs to and she always knows what to say. I admire her. I really really do. I know I've just come out of a relationship with Dean Thomas but I really want to ask Hayley to Professor Slughorn's Christmas Party. I'm not sure if she's into girls but it's worth a shot. I take a deep breath and walk over to her.

"Hey Hayley, what are you reading?" I ask the Hufflepuff girl. She looks up and smiles.

"Hi Ginny. This is the Tales of Beedle the Bard. I love these stories. They remind me of Cedric. We used to read them together when we were younger." She says. Her smile fading a little when she mentions her late brother. I nod.

"I'm really sorry about him. He was such a lovely boy." I say. She nods. We sit in a comfortable silence for a while. I finally build up enough of my Gryffindor courage to say what I came here to say.

"So Hayley, I was wondering, would you like to go on a date to Slughorn's Christmas Party with me?" I ask her. She smiles.

"Yeah, that would be great!" She tells me. I nod and get up to leave.

"Well, I'll meet you tomorrow night at the bottom of Gryffindor tower then." I say. She nods.

"See you."

I get dressed into my white blouse, dark blue slacks and polished shoes, then I head outside into the common room and then head out to the bottom of Gryffindor Tower where I find Hayley. I grin at her. She's wearing clothes similar to mine except a grey blouse and black slacks.

"Hi Hayley! You look nice!" I compliment her. She smiles.

"Thanks, you too." She replies.

"Should we get going?" I ask. She nods her head, grins and sticks her arm out for me to take. I grin as well and link arms with her, and we walk to the party together.

Hayley's P.O.V

We walk through the school to the dungeons, chatting all the while. Eventually she says what I think we've bot had on our minds.

"I think we're probably the only girl couple in our year level." She says, grinning.

"There's always room for something new." I reply. We both laugh.

"You have a nice smile Hayley. how come do you always go to the library and hide away from everyone else?" She asks. I think about her question for a moment.

"I guess I always thought everyone hated me. Books have always been there for me, especially since... you know... Cedric..." I say, trailing off. He was a wonderful brother, but now he's just a memory.

"He mus have been a pretty great brother. I couldn't possibly know what I'd do if any of my brother's died. And I would still have a thousand more! I don't think I'd be able to handle the grief like you did Hayley. You're really strong, and it inspires me. You're so inspiring and I admire that about you! You are so wonderful Hayley!" She tells me, looking in my eyes the whole time. I feel myself begin to go red and I feel pride in my stomach.

"Thanks Ginny. That really means a lot." I say. We finally reach the party and have a great time, although people do give us a few strange looks at the beginning for being a girl couple, they get used to it and everyone is eventually happy for us!

I hope you liked it Hayley! Even though I know this was actually terrible, I just had absolutely no idea what to write! If you want me to do more on it, that is absolutely fine and I will add some more but at the moment I have a bit of writers block so I couldn't think! Thanks for requesting Hayley! Please keep on requesting guys!
