Part 5: Old friends

He leaned forward, his head resting on his palms. He took a look around before fixing his gaze on us again.

"So, how are you feeling? Something out of the ordinary? We didn't saw each other for a while now"

I looked up at Jungkook, trying to figure out what he was thinking right now. But no expression. All I could see was a blank face. I wanted to ask him, ask him who that guy was, what he was doing here and why he knew him.

"Did you sent her?"

"Her?" the guy raised an eyebrow "listen, if you're talking about what happened, that's really not my fault. Not at all"

"Whose is it then? From the way you're talking you seem to know her."

"C'mon, it's been so long since the last time I saw you, and now you've got nothing better to do than blaming me for something I have nothing to do with. Ah, and just by the way, you're little human friend, you should keep an eye out on her, you know they've been watching you."

"Who was she? I don't like to repeat myself."

Still, not a single muscle in his face was moving.

"Jungkook, my friend" he took a long pause. While he was still standing next to me, calm, I got nervous. "Don't you want to explain the beginning of the story to your friend first? She looks... quite worried." He smiled.

"She has nothing to do with this, and I'd rather not have her to." His voice got louder.

"You know that it's too late for that. Why are you so stubborn, stop fighting against it and give up, there's nothing you could do. And about the woman, I don't know her in person, I never talked to her before, the leader brought her. I got no further information about it. All I can tell you is, that she was from a different clan."

"Y/N, you have to go away, it's not safe here. And you, you'll help her. You still owe me one."

His stare intensifies, but now he was only looking at Jungkook. "Do you even know what you're saying? Did you lost your mind? Now that she destroyed your human form and you can't go back to your past years where you got the gift of living your life as a human, did you forgot that they will be after you now?! I know you want to save her, she's probably the most important thing in your life right now, but you have to think of me too. What if they get me, I'll be dead! They won't give me a second chance..."

"I know, but if you at least have a bit left of your conscience, and remember what I did for you, you'll do it"

"Fine, but you'll come with us then, don't easily hand out someone you love to a person you haven't seen in years, people can change. You don't know what I could do to-"

He got cut off by Jungkook that smashed his fist against the wall, so that tiny little fragments fell down to the ground. "Don't you dare to touch her!" He angrily looked at him, but his gaze just wandered away.

"It's okay, no need to scream at me like that." He looked over to me again. "You, come, we don't have the whole day." The stranger stood up, gave me a short look and just mumbled that he'd wait downstairs.

I looked at Jungkook "what-" he didn't let me talk, covered my mouth with his hand. "Don't talk" he looked me deep into the eyes before he leaned down to kiss me.
