The moment the five laid eyes on the man, they instantly knew who they were talking to, his long, silver beard that was tucked into his belt and abnormal clothes made him distinguishable. In front of them stood none other than Albus Dumbledore. He was a tall and thin man, evidently old, and his blue eyes held an indescribable type of kindness that made it seem as though he was always smiling.

Although they had seen the man about an hour ago at breakfast in their time, the group found a sort of comfort knowing that he was here with them, because no one knew quite how to get out of a situation like Albus Dumbledore did. The familiarity helped ease them as they knew that not everything was that different – maybe. 

"Pardon Professor" Olivia said, calmly breaking the silence, as she watched the man walk down the steps towards them. 

"We were missing for a whole year!" Shouted James before Dumbledore got the chance to reply to Olivia. 

"That is correct Mr Potter" the headmaster replied, chuckling ever so slightly at James' chaotic behavior. "Now, I must insist that we must change appearances, as while your names are common, your appearances are not, you will all be easily recognisable around here, do you understand?"

The group gave a satisfactory nod, as he continued. 

"Very well, now I suggest you change your last names to something different as well, but Remus and Sirius I insist you change your full names to something more common. With your altered identities, you will go along with the story that you're all a transfer group from Ilvermorny." He told them. 

Lily was the first to step forward, her once long red hair stayed the same length but changed into a dark brown-blonde, her emerald-green eyes staying as they were. 

James then changed his messy hair to be a couple shades lighter as well as his hazel eyes becoming lighter. 

Next, stood next to James, was Sirius, him name changed to Josh, his long dark hair became incredibly shorter and his grey eyes turning blue.

Olivia had the most change in her appearance, she changed her hair to a long light-brown colour, reaching her middle back. Her brown eyes became a green, similar to Lily's eye colour. 

Finally, Remus was the last to change his identity. His sandy hair became a darker, raven colour and his soft hazel eyes changed into a darker brown. Like Sirius, he decided to change his name to something, his now being Connor.

An hour or so later, the group were now seated back in the common room, waiting for the rest of the house to return from their classes. Not much had been said since they had returned from Dumbledore's office, the news of being 20 years in the future still sending them into shock as they let the revelation settle in. They sat in silence on the couches by the fire, in the Gryffindor common room. 

When they returned to the Gryffindor common room, they found it to be an almost exact replica of the common room they were used to. The circular common room was decorated in various shades or red and gold, and held a very homely, comforting feel to it, allowing the group to relax and feel a sense of normality amongst the strange events. 

It was the small things that changed which they noticed, for example the curtains and cushions were different to what they were used to. And the bulletin board had different notices and posters advertising different things on them. The walls were decorated with scarlet tapestries of different witches, wizards and various animals, and there was a huge window that allowed a perfect view of the castle grounds. For the time being, the common room was quiet and peaceful, but from personal experience they knew that that would soon change once the school day was over.
