Divergent: Highschool (Sophomore)

Chapter 4

Tris POV

I wake up to Four fast asleep on the edge of my hospital bed while holding my hand. I look around, and I see my leg, In a cast. Of course I got hurt, when don't I. I look down at Four and smile. He looks so peaceful sleeping. Had said something to me last night while I was asleep, I cant quite remember what. Ill ask him when he wakes up. I wonder why my parents aren't here. They probably went to work or something. I cant see my phone anywhere, maybe Four has it. I watch him slowly breath until I fall asleep.

Four POV

I wake up to Tris's phone buzzing, I look through her things and finally find it. Its her mom. "Hello?" I say

"Um who's this?" She asks

"I'm one of Tris's friends, but um we didn't get her passcode last night so we couldn't call you but she hurt her leg and we brought her to the ER" I say

"Omg ok, is she fine, do I need to go there? or are you ok staying with her? I ended up going on a business trip last minute" She says

"She's fine, she'll be in a cast for a couple of week if healed properly and I don't mind, if you want ill take care of her while you're gone" I say

"That would be great thank you so much, Tell her that me and her father will be back in a week" she says. She then hangs up, and I place Tris's phone down. About half an hour later, Tris slowly wakes up, her eyelids slowly uncover her hazel eyes. "Hey." I say

She stretches a bit, "Hey" she says then gives me a sleepy smile. She tries to sit up but winces. "What happened to my leg" she asks

"You slipped, I went to catch you but your lower leg managed to get stamped with glass. They performed surgery. You'll be in a cast for about 6 weeks. if healed properly" I say

"Dang, You caught me?" She says. We both laugh a little.
