-Louis's POV-

It's Christmas Day and somehow I ended up sitting in the living room with Bella and my parents exchanging gifts. I didn't know if Bella had gotten me a present or not. She could have snuck out and went with Harry and, or, Bri, but if she didn't I was happy that I could just be with her on Christmas. It's not about the gifts anyway.

"I'm sorry Lou. I didn't get you anything" Bella mumbled as she cuddled up to me on the couch to stay warm, even though the house was quite warm.

"Here's our present" my mum said politely and handed me a smallish box.

I unwrapped it from the paper and found a box. I looked at them and rose an eyebrow. I had a feeling it'd be something like watch. The box was big enough for it. When I opened it my suspicions were correct, it was a watch. But it was quite expensive, few hundred dollars at least.

"Thanks guys" I smiled and slipped it on. Bella smiled and admired the watch now around my wrist and my parents just eyed us.

See I don't know my parents well, so I got them something cheap, but I kind of feel guilty now I hadn't spent more on them, especially when I spent a lot on Bella's present.

"Sorry I didn't get you something equally as good" I told my parents honestly.

"Don't worry about it. We don't deserve any more than what we got" my mum told me. I half smiled, I still felt guilty.

"I've got a present for you" I told Bella then pecked her cheek. I leaned forward and grabbed the small wrapped box off the coffee table and handed it to her. She seemed to admire the unwrapped gift it's self and I grimaced. Had she never been given a present before? "Open it" I urged her on.

My parents looked at each other, still not believing I had found someone like Bella to be with. Bella unwrapped the paper around the small box and then opened it. I had got her a ring, not an engagement ring, though I think my parents nearly had a heart attack at the sight of it.

"It's not an engagement ring, so don't worry" I smiled at Bella who seemed overwhelmed. "It's a promise ring. It's my promise that I will never let you go. And that I will be asking you some day to marry me" I pulled the ring out the box and grabbed her right hand and slipped the ring on the 'ring' finger.

"It's beautiful, thank you Louis" she smiled widely and pressed a kiss to my lips.

"Well that's enough for us today. We have an early meeting tomorrow, so try not to be loud" my dad announced and got up, and he and my mum left us alone in the living room.

I couldn't believe how time has flown. It was already Christmas and the day before today I turned eighteen. Bella and I have been searching houses and we have found one, it's dear, but it's roomy for us two, and company if we have it, and got a great view. We had put in an offer and we should be hearing back any day now. As soon as it happens we'll be getting ready to move. And since Bella hasn't got anything, besides her stuff from her house, which she has to get some day, we'll be using a lot of my stuff of new stuff. The house has been vacant since Bella got put in hospital, her dad got arrested for abuse and is sentenced to life, but knowing this fucked up world he'll probably be out sooner. Which I find disgusting. The man who raped her, still hasn't been found, mainly because Bella hasn't put in a complaint, which I think she should, he needs to be locked up to. But I don't want to force her, I'll tell her what she should do but it's up to her to choose the rest.

"What's our plan for today?" Bella asked.

"What do you want to do? We've got the whole afternoon and night to ourselves" I smiled.
