Divina's P.O.V

7:35 AM

"I'm guessing it's another boring and uneventful day of mine." I think as I open my eyes.

I get up early from my bed and drag myself to the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror and cringe at the sight of my messed up curly hair. I bring my face closer to the mirror to discover having a couple of pimples on my forehead. Add the dark circles under my eyes to the mix and you can probably tell that I look like a zombie.

How delightful.

I jump into the shower and immediately, the ice cold water hits my naked back and rushes through my hair fully waking me up. The water is freshening as it makes me feel like a whole new person. Like an actual human being, not a zombie. I apply the shampoo on my hair as I sing in the shower knowing I won't disturb the neighbors.

The only neighbors I had were a few creepy people that lived in small houses really, really far away from mine. I can't really say much because this place is pretty sketchy so you'd definitely find creepy people here, including me since I barely get out of my house.

You can't exactly expect a girl to live her life while having a whole gang out to get her and murder her.

I get out of the shower and wrap myself with a towel.

Making my way to my wardrobe, I pick out a pair of blue comfy shorts and a white tight tank top. I get dressed in that then I walk to the kitchen to make my daily omelette.

That is when I hear a loud bang coming from the front door. I felt a sly smirk appear on my face.

"Oh, I guess I was wrong about today being boring. Cause it seems like I'm gonna have some fun today." I thought as I opened the drawer and swiftly snatched a big sharp knife.

"Hello, fellow Flamies."

Kevin's P.O.V

5:40 AM

"I'm not that useless. Just give me a chance to prove myself." I say as I try to catch up with my father who's also known as 'Mr.Tan' here. He's rushing through the corridors of the abandoned building while shouting orders at the gang's members as I follow behind him like a dog.

I know that I hate this place but here is the only place where I can stay and call home and I can't keep getting disrespected like that at my own home. Everyone makes fun of me in this gang, but now I will prove myself.

"No, Kevin, you're definitely not gonna go on a mission to kill Div-" he said while continuing to walk quickly but got interrupted by me.

"Murdering? It's fine. I could do it. No worries." I say, rolling my eyes and gesturing with my hands to help me hide the fact that I'm scared out of my mind.

Father stops and slowly turns around while lifting his eyebrow up and slightly tilting his head to the side as if he's considering it.
He then takes a deep breath and says, "It's not just anyone, son, it's Divina Adkins. She can get you killed in just one snap of her fingers and she doesn't even have back-up."

I gulp. Oh shit. Adkins? That family has been our biggest enemy for more than 10 years.
I had to risk it, though. This is the only way I can earn respect from this gang's members. It's worth it. I guess.

"That makes it even better. If I'm the one who kills her, it means I'll get respected by everyone here." I explain with a tone that shouts confidence yet I'm shaking like a leaf. And father notices that, but decides to ignore it.
