                    Harry's POV

The search started the moment she left and went on until dark. "Holy Harry Potter." I turned around to see a girl in a Ravenclaw gawking at me.
"Ravenclaw. Elizabeth Lily is in Ravenclaw right?"
"Yeah- why do you wanna know?"
"I'm looking for her."
"She's out of the infirmary?"
"You haven't seen her have you?"
"She disappeared the first night. No ones seen her sense. McGonagall told me she was in the hospital two days ago. What business do you have with my best friend?"
"I'll explain as soon as I can. Everyone deserves the truth but I have to find her first." I said running off.
                            ~
Just when the search felt useless I saw a girl with her nose in a book. The only student out of bed. "Hey! Wait!"
"Stay away Potter."
"No. I just can't do that."
"It's best for both of us."
"No you don't understand-"
"What? Hagrid was just being Hagrid. I fainted. Then the 'magnificent' Harry Potter came to clear up the news. To tell me he's most certainly not my father."
"I can't say that."
She froze. "No. I don't believe you."
I looked at her locket. "You ever taken that off?"
"No."
I fished around in my pocket pulling out the key. "This," I said looking at the shiny key. "This is all I've had for the past 12 years." I tossed her the key. "Go ahead."
"You're wrong." She put the key in the lock turning it. It clicked, popping open. "No."
"I'm sorry."
"Everyone thinks you're so magnificent, but you're just a jerk. I've been reading about you. You didn't very much like being an orphan. Yet you gave up your own kid." She said walking away.
"No! It's complicated."
"You gave me up because you thought I was a muggle didn't you. I'm sorry that a little squib isn't good enough for Harry Potter." She yelled walking away.
"Wait."
She disappeared up the spiral staircase leading to the Ravenclaw common room. "No!" I called running up after her.
I reached the handless door. "A boy fell off a 100 foot ladder but did not get hurt. How?"
                            ~
I sat by the door. "Was there a trampoline?"
"No."
"Did he fall into water."
"No."
"Mr. Potter?"
I looked up. Minerva walked over.
"What are you doing?"
I stood up straightening my clothes. I looked at the door. "My daughter went in."
"And you can't solve a riddle."
I smiled crookedly. She sighed.
"The riddle?"
"A boy fell of a 100 foot ladder but did not get hurt. How?"
She looked at me. "Ow Mr. Potter. Did it ever occur to you that: the boy was ok the first step."
The door opened.
"Thanks." I said running in.

Minerva dragged us in, both by the ear as we argued. She put Elizabeth in a chair. She stood up, but Hagrid held her down. "They're your problem now." She said leaving.
"I owe everyone a story. Everyone." I said.
