I am brown and 5'1"
A pretty shade of what you
Might call Black
Short and plump
Like a Hersey Chocolate Ball
Allow me to introduce myself
With my glass eyes, I'll stare
And I'll glare
My attitude will express itself
Through my thick black brows
Allow me to introduce myself
My words will
Persuade You
Encourage You
Hurt You
And Rage You
Allow me to introduce myself
Because I'm sure you read
About me before you read

But that's where you've been
Mistaken
I am more than a inner-city
Black nightmare
I am more than my chest and my hips
So before you make me a topic
Without any details
Allow me to introduce myself
I am Intellegent
I am Beautiful
I am Unique
I used to cry every morning
Mirror, Mirror
On the wall why can't
I be pretty and tall ?
And then I heard her say
Because you are you
A Combination of heaven and hell
Attentively crafted into
Perfection
You are a reflection of
Everything you have ever
Toiled for
Every door that slammed shut for us
Has gracefully opened and laid out a
Red Carpet
For You
You are
Brighter than us
Quicker than us
Simply breathtaking
And that was when I realized
Who I Am
I am Charlie
A Ray Of Light
Determined and Delighted
Dynamic and Boundless
I am Gods child placed on this Earth
To be a
Miracle Worker
