It was a new day in the Multiverse, everyone was happy. Error and Ink made a truce about five years ago, Killer was reformed three years ago, and no one has heard from Nightmare and his crew for the past year. Everything was good.

For a short amount of time.

Ink was walking home after a little get together with Error, they had become good friends since Error stoped destroying universes and Ink stoped creating. There was a nice silence in the air as Ink walked, then he heard a faint noise from the woods next to him. He looked towards them, he saw nothing, but decided to walk in and investigate anyway.

Upon entering, the noises got louder. He followed them until he caught sight of something. That's when the noises stoped. Ink walked over, little by little, until he could see what it was. When he did see, however, he wished he wasn't seeing it.

In front of him was Geno, a foot above the ground, tears streaming down his face. There was a large rope around his neck, behind him was a stool over on it's side, in front were his slippers and neatly folded scarf. Next to the scarf, a small piece of paper, a suicide note.

Ink took a shaky step forward, reaching his hand out, hoping that it wasn't too late. When he did that, however, Geno started turning to dust. Tears pricked the corners of Ink's eyes, he froze.

It was deathly silent for a long time...

Then Ink screamed.

Three weeks later

They sat alone in the anti-void. Ink was fiddling with a golden band, much like the one he was wearing.

"They confirmed it was a suicide," Ink said, "I just don't understand why he did it," He looked over to Error.

"You know he had a rough time before he met you, and some of the things that bugged him wouldn't go away." Error said, leaning back with a red scarf in his hand. "He couldn't just forget them over night." He sighs. "But still, that was years ago, why now?"

"I don't know, that's why I'm asking you," Ink said. "He seemed so happy, he had a loving husband," Ink gestured to himself, "a caring sibling," he points to Error, "and great friends." Ink paused. "And yet when he had non of those things, the thought never crossed his mind? Something doesn't add up."

"If it wasn't a suicide, then who killed him?" Error asked, looking over to Ink. "No one was out for him, or could have gotten to him if they were, so who would it be, Ink?" Error was a little irritated.

"I don't know.." Was all Ink said.

There was a long moment of tense silence. "Look, I know losing him was hard for you, I know how you feel, he was my brother, but I don't think he was murdered. I think he just didn't want anyone to know how he felt. That's how he always was," Error said.

Ink scrunched his eyebrows. "Why? Why wouldn't he tell me? I could have helped," Ink said.

"When someone feels that way, and they don't tell someone, it's most likely because he don't want to be a burden," Error said, "They feel like it would be trubbling for others."

Ink sighs, "but still," he said. He took his focus off the band and look up at the vast whiteness in front.

Error pulled out a wrist watch from his pocket. "You should get some rest, Ink, we've got a big day tomorrow."

Ink nodded, got up, and left.

Error sat alone in silence for a long while. He was deep in thought, about what? He didn't know.

It wasn't long before a familiar black cloaked skeleton walked up next to him.

"Hey, Reaper." The darker said, "what brings you here?"

Reaper stood there, scythe out, for a long moment. "I came here to give my condolences." He said, "He was still young, full of life, despite.. you know. It's a shame he had to die so soon."

Error nodded. "Indeed.." he paused, the thought that Ink gave comming back to him, "Did he, commit suicide?" He asked the reaper.

This question took Reaper by surprise. ".. And what makes you think I know?"

"Well, you're a reaper, and reapers have to be there when they take a soul, so maybe you saw what really happened, if it wasn't suicide." Error replied.

Reaper sighed. "I arrived at the time of his death, no sooner, no later, that would give me about the same amout of information as Ink."

"But then there's the booklets, you told me that you have a booklet of who has to die that dayy. They always have the cause of death next to the name, like if it was murder or suicide." Error stated.

Reaper smiled lightly, "Nice to see ya listen to me-"

"Just answer the question, idiot," Error cut off.

"Ouch," Reaper said, jokingly. "... I can't tell you, anyway, it's not my right to."

"Fine, thanks anyway." Error said.

"No real need to." Reaper sighed.

They sat in silence for what felt like hours, both not wanting to be the first to say something. Not from the fear of breaking a comfortable quiet, but from the fear of starting and uncomfortable conversation.

To make the tension cease growing, Error spoke. "Are you just going to stand there with that scythe out, or are you going to put it away? It's making me uncomfortable."

Reaper chuckled lightly. "Okay, why?" He said, making it disappear.

"It just feels like you're gonna start swingin' it at me at any time." Error said, giving a lopsided smile.

"You know I wouldn't, 'sides, it can't kill ya" Reaper said, returning the smile.

"May not kill me, but it would still hurt like hell!" Error said, playfully. He sighed, "Anyways, you comin' tomorrow?"

Reaper sighed. "I don't know."

"You don't have to if you don't want to, I get it, but he would be happy if you were there." Error said.

Reaper looked at Error. "You sure?"

"You were one of his closest friends, I'm positive." Error smiled lightly, "and beside, if you didn't come, who would sit next to me?"

The hooded one chuckled. "Then I guess I'll come, can't let you get lonely, now can I?"

Error playfully rolled his eyes, smiling. He sighed. "Anyway, you should probably head back to your AU and get some rest, tomorrow will be a long day."

Reaper nodded his head, and went off, saying goodbye.

The night was a rough night. It took Error hours to fall asleep, and when he finally fall asleep he had a nightmare.
