four - Redefining Square One
''Hey,'' Aria cooed softly when Noah enters the vehicle. As he closes the drivers door shut and tugs out his keys from his pocket, Aria questions, ''What happened in there?''
''Ah,'' He mumbles while inserting the key into the whole, the car igniting once he's turned it on. ''He asked me a few questions and realized my murder obsession is nothing but a murder obsession.''
Aria leans her head back into her seat. ''Awe, now don't you feel better?''
''Yeah, yeah,'' He waves her off as he backs himself out of the parking lot.
Aria perks up in her seat. ''Oh, before I forget, I was texting Audrey.''
''Oh, yeah?'' He raised a brow.
''Yeah,'' She bops her head. ''She has something to tell us when we see her.''
Noah furrows his brows. ''Oh. Is it bad?''
''She didn't say,'' Aria flickers her gaze from her older brother down to her lap where her phone rested. ''But it sounds like it.''
It wasn't long before the Foster siblings arrived to George Washington High and met up with Audrey along the metal fence fulfilled with memorial mementos that is for Nina Patterson and her death.
''Hey, slugger!'' Noah calls, alarming the short raven hair girl holding her camcorder, getting the events surrounding her on film. She turns with nonchalant features.
The news must be bad. But, then again, Audrey hasn't be in a chipper mood lately.
Noah fidgets with one of the straps of his book bag against his shoulder, his eyes narrowed under the sun as Aria asks, ''What's with the frown?''
''That video of Rachel and I in the parking lot,'' She shakes her head vigorously and heaves a scoff from her chest out of disbelieve. ''Nina recorded us,-''
Noah jerks his head back. ''That's no shocker.''
''And Emma was with her,'' Audrey adds as to the biggest news of the hour. ''Can you believe her? How could she let her do that to me? Why didn't she have the balls to stop her?''
Aria pursed her lips. ''How'd you find out?''
''Emma,'' By now, Audrey was back to recording along the fence. ''Which is probably the only reason why she wanted to be friends again.''
The mahogany hair girl standing beside Noah stood on her tippy toes for a split second and swallows deeply. ''Did Emma mention anybody else?''
Noah remained with his eyes narrowed and furrows his brows from curiosity as he looks down at his little sister. Why was she asking so many questions about that night? And why did she look so anxious?
''No,'' She mumbles. ''Why does that matter?''
She shakes her head. ''It doesn't. You know how I'm a visual learner, I like to have all the details.''
However, Noah couldn't subside the fact how odd Aria was acting. It was inconspicuous, entirely. What happened was already revealed, it was all over the web at one point. The who done it was already suspected, why did she keep digging for more details?
Audrey chuckled dryly as she reached over towards a card. ''Noah, check this out.''
He walks around from behind the younger Foster and read the card aloud, ''I miss you, Nina Bobina. Rest in Prada. Love, Miranda. Isn't that the girl Nina fat shamed into some questionable Guatemalan liposuction?''
