Complicated Teenage Years

Last night it was so difficult to sleep. I had nightmares and I kept thinking about Tate's words.He was right because I tend to think a lot about a specific situation. I should live a little. Tommorow is Phillip's birthday. We should plan something special for him.An idea popped on my mind. I grabbed my phone and texted Corinne.

Meet me at Starbucks in 30'.Tell Sam as well. I need your help.

No, not at all. I just need your help for something.

I got up and had a quick shower. I brushed my teeth and did my makeup. I put on some mascara and nude lipstick.I wore a pair of black leggings , a white T-shirt and my black combat boots. I went to Tate's room and found him sleeping. I woke him up gently and he was pissed to say the least. Tate didn't want to wake him up. If somebody did that then for the rest of the day he would be grumpy.

"What do you want? "He mumbled in his sleep. He turned to face him and pinched his arm to fully wake him.
He flinched at my touch and I chuckled.

"Tommorow is Phillip's birthday and I am planning on having a party. Are you in? "I said a little too excited.

"Of course. What should I do? "
He asked and I kept thinking about it.

"Well first of all tomorrow you will go out with Phillip so that I can prepare the house for the party. I will deal with everything else. Corinne and Sam will help me out as well.Got to go now and discuss about it with them. " he mumbled okay I assume and went back to sleeping.
Today was a day to take my bike. I entered the garage and sat on it. After ten minutes I was outside Starbucks. Sam would be pissed cause I am kinda late. Once I walked in the smell of coffee and muffins filled my nostrils. I saw Corinne sitting at a booth with Sam at the back of the store chatting.

"Hey guys. What are you doing? Sorry I am late"I smiled as I was sitting at the booth sipping from my Cappucino.

"What happened?You said you needed our help"asked Corinne with a worried expression.

I took a deep breath and answered. "Well tommorow is Phillip's birthday and since he haven't had a proper party since he was born so now I decided since I have you guys as my friends to organize one for him. Everything for my dear child.
Both of them nodded eagerly and I rolled my eyes. They were such kids.

"So I am thinking about a theme party. Phillip loves Teenage mutant ninja turtles with a passion. I decided to do everything related with that show. From the cake to the decorations. Sam you are in charge of buying decorations ,Corinne you buy the cake and I am going to decorate the house as well as invite people. I am going to invite Josh as well with his little sister. Oh and also drop by the daycare to invite the other kids. "As I was talking they both nodded and I was proud for myself. Not to brag about it but I could organise the best parties for kids.

"Let's go shopping now. To the mall it is! "I sipped the remaining coffee from the cup and stood up. Corinne and Sam followed my lead.  

"Luna, can I drive your bike? "Sam said doing puppy dog eyes. I couldn't resist, he was adorable yet hilarious.
I sighed and passed him the keys. We exited the shop and went to Corinne's car.

"I'm driving girl"I winked at Corinne and got in the driver's seat.

We were driving for about ten minutes with Sam following my lead. I parked at the mall and met Sam nearby.

"Okay first stop the toy shop for the decorations. Sam you're up. "I ordered and he mocked a weird handshake as he was walking towards the shop.

"Let's go buy presen-oh look Josh is right there with a little girl"I turned my head and saw him with Lizzie. We locked eyes and waved at me. Lizzie stood up and ran towards me. I engulfed her in a tight hug and then Josh came.

"Lizzie really missed you.She's going on and an all day about you."he said with a smile.I smiled back and thought about Phillip's birthday.Josh could invite the other kids from daycare.

"Josh I really need your help."I asked with a grin.He smirked and I rolled my eyes.I grabbed his hand and dragged him along with me far from our friends.

"Look tomorrow I'm having a party for Phillip's third birthday.Can you invite the whole daycare?You can come as well and of course bring Lizzie with you."I explained and he nodded.

"Whatever you want missy but in order to do that you have to do something for me as well."I raised an eyebrow and he continued. "So,in order to do what you asked you have to go on a date with me."I mentally slapped myself but agreed anyway.It was my son's birthday and I wanted the best for him.

His smile got bigger by the time I agreed.The rest of the day went like that.Josh and Lizzie came with us to shop and the eat.To be honest,it was fun.Josh made awful jokes all the time and only Sam found them funny.I bought loads of presents for Phillip and a beautiful barbie doll for Lizzie.I saw the doll on the rack and I couldn't resist not buying her.I was that repulsive when it came to shopping.Lizzie loved the doll and hugged me so tight.In the meantime I had texted Tate to go to the park with Phillip for a bit so that we could put the things we bought in the basement without Phillip realising cause man we bought a lot of shit.

As we exited the mall an idea popped my mind." Guys wanna stay at my place today?That way we can decorate tomorrow morning and have fun I guess."When I said that everyone cheered and agreed.

When all of us got home Phillip or Tate was nowhere to be found and that made it easier for us to unpack our car trunks.We laced everything carefully in the basement and then sat on the couches on the living room. 

"I'm ordering pizza.Do any of you want ?" I offered and Sam grinned."Nah I'm fine I'm just gonna eat some of yours."He said and I glared at him "Don't you dare come closer to my pizza."I joked and everyone burst into fits of laughter.I bought three different pizzas.As we were waiting for the to come my brother and my son came back.Phillip ran into Josh's hug and I pretended to be offended and mad at Josh."Now you prefer Josh instead of me Phillip?I'm hurt."I joked again and Josh smirked.

"Mommy don't be jealous I love you so much but I love Josh too.He is like my daddy."When he said that my mug with hot coffee fell on the floor and broke into pieces.I tear left my eye and I went to my room and locked the door.I really didn't know why that phrase touched me so much.Maybe because Phillip never met his father and he was hurt.He was in need of a father but his father never really wanted him.That's why he left when I told him I was pregnant.

Tomorrow is Phillip's birthday and I can't let anything ruined it.Not even my bad mood.

I had a quick shower and then went to sit with my friends.I ate my pizza in silence with a fake smile on my face pretending to be happy.

I'm doing this for my kid and I'm not going to let anything or anyone ruin that!

As I was washing the dishes the doorbell rang.I dried my hands with a paper towel and got the door.The sight in front of me shocked me to say the least.Then everything turned black.
