Panic flared in my chest. I suddenly felt arms wrap around me and pick me up.

It was the boy. He placed me down and sat next to me. He pulled me close and I didn't hesitate.

"What is it?" I whispered.

"A NightMare. Well... the shadow of one." The boy answered back.

Nothing happened. The creature had given up. I sighed.

"Who are you...?" I asked, curious.

"Hmm? Oh. Michael." He answered. "Now I know what brought you hear. That creature..."

I froze, stunned. For a moment, I forgot I was resting my head against a murderers chest. I didn't care. He took me by surprise by putting his arm around me. I closed my eyes.

"Why did you say earlier, 'don't worry little one, we only want to talk'?" I asked.

He let out a laugh.

"I always do that. Drama." He answered. I laughed.

"I'm like that at home." I spoke.

Sorrow suddenly filled my heart, as I realised I could never go home again. The scent of blood filled my nostrils and I realised that Michael was still covered in it.

"Do you kill...?" I asked, my voice barely audible to my own ears.

"...Ya. It's a hobby - but I will never kill you" He added quickly. I felt confused.

"Why?"

"I don't know... it's like... I don't know. You tell me..." He sighed, looking into my eyes.

I smiled and gave him the derp face. He laughed and my look in my eyes gave him the answer. We both blushed.

Michael held me close.

"You are a fine looking girl Hazard."

"You are a fine looking boy Michael."
