CHAPTER 4

Once the ambulance arrived, the paramedics started examining Chris before putting him on a stretcher and into the ambulance. "What's happening? Is he alright" William shouted, scared. "Sir, you need to calm down. Your friend had a bad concision and has lost a dangerous amount of blood in a short time. Only one of you can come with us to the hospital." the paramedic said to William. "Eva, you go in the ambulance. I'll drive Chris' car to the hospital and pick up Noora. I doubt she's left yet" William said to his sister. She didn't trust herself to speak so she simply nodded in response and got into the back of the ambulance.

She took Chris' hand in hers and held onto to it. "Please Chris, stay with me. Please." Eva begged but he showed no sigh of movement. Once they reached the hospital, the paramedics rushed him to ICU and told Eva to wait in the waiting room. She was immediately greeted by William and Noora. She ran up to them. "What's happening? Did they tell you anything? Where is he?" Noora asked clearly worried about her brother. "They didn't tell me much other than they've taken him to ICU. I think i heard something about stitches but I'm not sure. He is gonna wake up though. There just not sure when" Eva said surprised that she could get the world out without crying. "He'll be fine. It's Chris. Nothing can break that guy." Noora said more to herself than to anyone else. 

1;00am

The three sat in the waiting room for about two hours before anyone said anything to them. Eventually a doctor came out to them. "Are you here for  Christoffer Schistad?" the doctor asked. "Um ya I'm his sister and these are our friends." Noora said standing up. "Hello. I'm doctor Scott. Christoffer is recovering right now. We had to do a blood transfusion as he had lost so much and he had 10 stitches on the back of his head from the open wound. We suspect he hit is head on something when he fell before his head hit the floor which added extra trauma. He is still sedated but will wake up within the next few days. You can go into see him but please, only a few minutes. You can also come back at anytime tomorrow to see him." Doctor Scott said. "okay thank you doctor" Noora said and shook his hand. "No problem" he said and walked away. 

"I'm gonna head in are you guys coming?" Noora asked. "Yap. Can you give me a minute I have to talk to Eva for a second." William said. "yea sure just come in when you're done." Noora said and walked into her brothers room and sitting beside his bed.

"What did you wanna talk about?" Eva said. "I wanted to give you my genuine apology. I know I was an ass and I should have told you I was planning to make a move on Noora and I Definitely should have told Chris. I just wanted to say I'm sorry." William said looking Eva in the eyes. Eva threw her arms around her brother. "It's fine Will. Chris and I talked about it and we forgive you. That's why we went over to the house. I'm just glad you're here for me and more importantly for Noora. I can see she's hurting and she needs you here." Eva said sincerely. "Hey. You know I'm here for you too. You have the right to be upset about this. He is your friend too." William said to his sister. "I'm fine. He's Noora's brother. Go comfort her. And besides, he's gonna wake up soon." Eva said with a small smile. 

They walked into Chris's room and stayed there till about 3. Eva saw Noora asleep in the chair beside her. "William you should probably take her home." Eva said pointing at Noora. "yeah I'm pretty tired too. You coming with?" William asked standing up. "No I'm gonna stay here in case he wakes up." Eva said. "Okay if you're sure. Call me if anything happens ." William said.  He lightly nudges Noora on the shoulder "Noora? Wake up I'm gonna take you home to get some rest and we'll come back in the morning." William said. "What if he wakes up? We can't leave him alone William"Noora said. "I'm gonna stay here with him. I'm not that tired and you two are clearly exhausted." Eva said lying. She was exhausted too but she had to stay here with Chris in case he woke up, which she was really hoping he would very soon. "Okay call us if there's any news."
