-Spencer's POV-

I was jerked to a stop by a pair of arms gripping tightly around my upper body. I eyes shot open only to see that a was no longer falling to my peaceful death, I could feel myself being pulled back over the railing and began my struggle.

"Just let me go, I want to die!" I screamed at the stranger who had kept me from my death. I was hysterical, I was shaking out of control and I couldn't stop crying. I was screaming and wiggling, trying to get out of the persons strong grip.

After being pulled over the railing something unexpected happened, the stranger pulled me into a bone crushing hug. For some reason I felt safe, it had been so long since I'd been hugged. My instincts kicked in and I collapsed into the persons chest. From what I could tell the stranger was very tall and slender. Their arms were strong and wrapped tightly around my body. I gave up on struggling and let my withered body be held. I finally got the hear the voice of the mystery person.

"Everything will be okay, I have you now." The mans comforting words filled my ears and I began to relax. I shaking and crying subsided and his arms loosened. I finally got to look at my savior, I raised my head and looked deeply into his brown eyes. He was really tall, six foot at the least. His eyes were a soft chocolate brown with little wrinkles at the edges. His nose and cheeks were dotted with small freckles and his light pink lips were in a tight line. I stared at him, he was covered in tattoos, the sleeve on his right arm was ocean themed and he had a mom tattoo his bicep. Roman numerals were tattooed on the lower part of his neck and his short brown hair was spiked up on top of his head.

I worried expression reflected at me and I lowered my hear. His bony fingers reached under my chin and tiled my hear back up to look at him once again.

"Why?" Was all he asked me. I didn't know him, he was just a stranger, but he made me feel so safe. I was at a loss for words as he waited for me to answer. I was debating weather to tell him anything, I mean, he was a complete stranger.

"You can tell me, don't be afraid." I spoke softly. I hesitated, what was he doing? He didn't even know me, why was he being so nice, especially to me. I cleared my throat and began to speak, my voice hoarse and shaky.

"M-my dad abuses me and everyone at school hates me, I just-, I can't take it anymore. I got home from school today a-and my dad grabbed me and h-he.." I was shaking and stuttering, I didn't even know if I could finish. "He he was yelling at me. He pulled out a gun and h-he tried to shoot me, twice." By then I was a wreck, the man pulled me into another tight hug and I cried into his chest on the side of the road.

"What's you name?" He whispered in my ear.

"Spencer." I mumbled into his chest, my reply muffled by tears.

"Well, Spencer, look at me," I did as he told, he brushed a few stray tears from my cheeks and looked me straight in the eyes. "Life is so tough, I hate it too but you're going to have to stay strong. You've been through a lot as but you can't just throw away your future. Its hard now, trust me, I understand that, but it wont be hard forever. It gets better, it will always get better, so don't give up now, you have so much to live for that you don't even know about. I'll help you get there, I promise. Everyone has a future but you can't give up just because you're unsure of what your future is."

I looked at him, straight in his eyes and for some reason I believed him. This man, he gave me hope. He made me believe that I could actually live. As I looked at him I smiled through my tears, which caused him to smile too and oh my god was his smile perfection.

"Come on." He said taking my hand and pulling my behind me. We made it to a car sitting by the side of the road and he opened the passenger door for me. I climbed in a and he ran to the other side, getting into the drivers seat.

"Where are me going?" I questioned, slightly on edge that im going to a mystery location with a strangely nice stranger.

"Like I said, im helping you." he answered, looking over to me, smiling sweetly.

We began our drive to wherever he was taking me. The ride was less than quite, the man, Austin, talked the whole time. He was really sweet, he explained that he was on a band that I wasn't familiar with and they were on tour, Michigan was just one of the many stops on their way across the country. He told me about all the members in the band, Aaron, Phil, Tino and Alan. Alan was their cat obsessed guitarist. Tino aka Your Boi was their crazy and fun sounding drummer. Aaron was their bassist and back-up vocalist who sounded to be really sweet like Austin, and Phil was their quieter but still fun lead guitarist. Everyone seemed like they'd be a lot of fun to meet.

We pulled into a lot and then up next to a large bus. The bus had large lettering across the side that read "Of Mice & Men." I got out of the car and stared nervously at the bus, Austin explained that I could stay the night with them and that we'd get to all the other bullshit in my life tomorrow. Austin walked up next to me and rested his hand on my shoulder.

"Trust me, they'll love you just as much as I do." He said, grinning down at me. I took a deep breath and we walked to the door.

Well, here goes nothing.
