Your POV
As I followed Kaoru into the kitchen I looked around the mansion.
"Wow, this place really is huge!" I said taking in this moment.
"It's nothing really," Kaoru said scratching the back of his head, "Okay, I can't reach the popcorn from down here, I'll have to give you a lift." He told me with his arms spread out ready to pick me up.
"Okay, just don't drop me!" I said playfully as he wrapped his arms around my legs and lifted me up. Eventually we got the packet of kernels but we almost fell in the process.
"Grab a bowl, Kaoru its ready," I said walking to the microwave from the counter where we were sitting, "Ow!" I exclaimed when I picked up the piping hot bag of popcorn that burnt my finger.
"Are you okay?!" Kaoru said while quickly setting the bowl down on the countertop and grabbing my finger.
"Yeah I'm fine, this always happens." I said while emptying the bag of popcorn into the bowl. And heading back to the living room with Kaoru.
"Finally you guys are back, it took you years to make a bag of popcorn!" Hikaru said sarcastically.
"We decided on watching a scary movie, is that okay?" Haruhi asked me and Kaoru.
"Sure, but only if I'll be able to grab a glass of water in the middle of the night without moral support." I said sarcastically. Horror films really scare me, but since it's with friends I guess it's okay.
"Alrighty then, let's start the movie!" Kaoru said sitting down cross-legged on the sofa with the bowl in his lap. I sat down pretty close beside him, but only enough to be able to comfortably grab popcorn. Hikaru put on the movie and sat down beside Haruhi who was sitting a bit further down the sofa.
The start of the movie wasn't that scary. Just a couple of teenagers in a forest that find a haunted cabin and there's a killer and blah blah blah. At one point though there was a jump scare that really got us and my first reaction was to hug Kaoru's arm. I realized what I was doing and started blushing but he didn't seem to mind so I just stayed there until the movie was over.
"Wanna pull pranks?" I whispered to all of them. It was getting late so everything was ten times funnier and most of the people in the house were asleep. Perfect time to cause mischief!
"Okay, I say we," Hikaru was cut off by his own giggles, that eventually turned into laughter, that made me, Kaoru, and Haruhi laugh. The only thing we could make out from the laughter was 'penguin'. Basically what the plan was is that we'd take fishing line, duct tape, and a big stuffed penguin, then hang the penguin from the ceiling so it looked like it was flying, then toilet paper the room after for good measure.
"We need to make preparations." Kaoru said, "If we want this to work, we'll need to move fast. Haruhi, you're in charge of putting the fishing line on the penguin. Hikaru, you help her. Me and Y/N will go get toilet paper, duct tape, and a ladder."
"On it!" Haruhi and Hikaru said in unison.
Kaoru's POV
Me and Y/N sprinted down the halls as quickly and quietly as possible. I was leading since it was my house. Out of nowhere I heard noises.
"Shh! I think it's a maid!" I whisper-shouted to Y/N, "She's coming this way! Quick hide in the closet!" I said as I pushed open the door and we got in the fairly small closet.
"Well this is awkward." Y/N said in the dark.
"Just wait for her to pass by, then we can get out." I replied.
Hikaru's POV
Who knew tying fishing line to a penguin in dimly lit areas would be so difficult. Me and Haruhi scrambled to tie the invisible string to its wings and body. Suddenly another idea hit me.
"Be right back, I gotta get something." I told Haruhi.
"Okay, I'll try to finish, be quick okay!" She said as I sped out the room.
