Grayson's POV (yay)
We walked down the terminal as we handed the guard our boarding passes.
When they let us through I kept thinking to myself. E had earbuds in and wasn't really paying much attention to anything.
I was leaving her. The only one I felt safe with besides Ethan. I didn't want to leave. I couldn't leave. She had cancer. I couldn't leave. I loved her.
I loved her...
"I loved her!" I said aloud, getting funny looks from the people around me. Ethan still couldn't hear me due to his music.
What was I doing? Why was I getting on this plane. I grabbed onto Ethan's hand and tugged him out of the gate and back into the terminal.
"LYRIC!" I screamed running through the airport, to where lyric had parked.
"Gray what's going on?! Why are we running?" Ethan shouted trying to tug his hand out of mine.
"Gray! We're gonna miss our flight!!" He kept shouting but I ignored him.
"Lyric!" I screamed again.
"Lyric!" I screamed once more as I spotted her walking back out of security.
She turned around and I let go of Ethan's hand, running up to her.
"Gray what are y-" I cut her off by pressing my lips to hers. She was surprised, but kissed back anyways. Ethan stood there awkwardly as we pulled away.
"Gray I don't understand I-" I cut her off again.
"It's you, it's always been you. I love you." I whispered. She just looked at me. A tear ran down her cheek.
"I wish I could say the same gray, I really wish I could." She choked out and I stopped breathing. No, this isn't happening, this couldn't be happening.
"Oh." I say lowly. I too let out a cry. "Gray no please don't." She whispered. She lifted her hand to place on my cheek put I quickly shook my head. She ignored my attempt and placed her thumb under my eye causing me to flinch.
"I lied grayson." She sighed. I looked up at her.
"I love you so fucking much." She smiles. I looked at her, shocked.
"I'm so scared to love someone I know I'm going to lose in a matter of days." She cried and I pulled her into a hug.
"I'm not leaving you." I whispered, kissing her forehead. She pulled away and looked at ethan. He wore a happy smile on his face.
"I'm sorry eth, I can't leave her." I explain and he nods understandingly.
"I was secretly hoping we didn't have to leave." He admits and Lyric giggles.
"Lets go home." Lyric says and both of us nod in agreement.
