IT WAS SUMMER BREAK which meant school was out, which also meant a ton of people at the lake. I live in a lake house since I was the age of 13. Life was hard for me back then. But I fought through it, and I'm doing much much better now.

No I didn't have an alternative to healing my self like you may have. Like using music or expressing your self through art or anything like that. I had to get through it the hard way...but let's not get into that.

I slipped into my bathing suit, glancing at the fat on my stomach. My friends call me skinny...well my old friends or internet frens. Yes I said frens. I'm always self conscious though, screw it, aren't we all? We're all just broken troubled souls letting the world either make or break us. I walked out the back door, making sure to close it behind me. My slides clicked against the metal dock and i hopped onto my jet ski, or wave runner, whatever you wanna call it.

I put my phone , camera , and my two ids in the compartment and put the key into the ignition.

The engine roared and I was off. Living near the lake was nice. Everyday felt like vacation, except for my stressful days. Once I reached the point where I could speed up I did. 5 mph, 10 mph , 15 ...26...30.  I sped up to the point where I was in the middle of the lake.

"Hey!" Someone shouted. I saved people's lives in the lake before, maybe I have to do it again. I pulled over to a very nice expensive pontoon.

"Need help with anything?" I asked, shutting off my jet ski

"Need help with anything?" I asked, shutting off my jet ski. "No, but I really like your jet ski" A yellow haired man smiled. He looked about my age and there were three others on the boat. There was the highlighter head dude, another guy with tattoos on his arms and chest with brown fluffy hair, another one with a very cool camera around his neck, and a blonde and pink haired lady with blue eyes. "Oh, t-thanks! Want a ride? I won't drown you I swear." I smiled lightly. "Sure." He shrugged taking a life jacket and putting it on. "I can fit three people on at a time but I'm pretty sure I'm too fat. I'll take you all on if ya want." I chuckled. "Nah your not. But sure, maybe uhhh Mark you go on after me, then after mark ty and Jenna?" He turned around. "Yeah sounds sick!" The person who I assumed was tyler explaimed. "Alright, two things first though. One I would take off your SnapBack because it might fall off. And two if anything happens like you fall off  I want you to float on your back and relax. I'll turn off my motor and tell you to swim to me. Then I'll hold my hand out to you and take you to the back of the jet ski. There's a bar behind the jet ski that you can push down to help you up. Then you just hop back on and bam!" (This is actually true I rode one before) I smiled. He laughed and squinted his eyes and his nose crinkled and his teeth shined. I would be lying if I said he wasn't attractive. I brushed it off and showed him how to hold on. He tucked his hand into the strap on my vest and held on to the bar on the side of the seat. "We can switch sides so you can drive whenever you want. For now just watch me. Tell me when I can speed up or slow down and I'll tell you when I turn, it's all for your safety." I started my engine again and drove away with the yellow haired boy. "I'm Joshua...I prefer Josh but, yeah." He spoke up. "Stacey... and I'm speeding up!" I said.

"WOO!" Josh smiled. I smiled too as I warned him that we were gonna do 360s and then head back.

"Hey dude! How was it?" Tyler asked. "IT WAS SICK! We went like...uh... Stacey how fast?" He turned around to me as he got back on his pontoon. "104 mph." I said smiling. "Yeah! High five!" We high fived.

After riding we all sat on my dock and watched the sunset. We all had a really good time together. And I learned a lot about them and Jenna and I formed a really good friendship. Jenna and I were planning to go shopping tomorrow and Tyler and Josh might join us. "Bye Jen!" I hugged her. "Bye mark , Tyler nice meeting you both." I gave them a friendly hug. The sunset seemed to reflect off Josh's mocha eyes. And I saw a tint of sadness in his eyes. But I hugged him and rubbed my thumb in a small circle then let it go. "Bye Josh." I giggled, stealing his snapback off his head. "Bye Stacey you better give it back tomorrow." Josh chuckled. I waved and I walked back into the house.

I sat on my bed with Josh's hat on my head and searched a certain name up in YouTube. "Twenty One Pilots."
