Becca's POV;

I wake up at the sound of my mother screaming a deafening scream telling me to get up for .school

    I somehow found thewill to get out of bed, I grabbed my phone and started checking twitter as I tiredlymake my way to the bathroom. My whole feed consists of Dan and Phil,who are basically the only people that make me genuinely happy.

    Well, them and my awesome grandma, Janice, she prefers I call her Janice because she doesn't likelabels, mostly labels that make her feel old.

    You see Janice has abilities, and no, I'm not talking about flying or running really fast, I'mtalking about MAGIC.

    Yes, Janice got herabilities as soon as she turned 16, she is of witch descent. Janice never toldanyone except for her mother.

    I hate my family,specifically, my parents. "Hate" is a strong word, but that's why I usedit, they fight ALL the time, and they pay little to no attention to me or my little brother.They think me liking Dan and Phil is stupid and is a phase, they wouldn't saythat if they found out that Dan and Phil have helped me out more than either of them havein my whole 17 years of life.

    Janice on the otherhand is literally my only best friend, she's been here for me more than my ownparents have, and she LOVES Dan and Phil, and she probably even knows them morethan I do.

    Since I spend A LOT ofmy time with her, I was bound to find out about her powers, I walked in on her while she was moving a book using telekinesisonce, I WASN'T SUPPOSED TO SEE THAT, she then sat me down and explainedeverything to me, THAT was a very strange conversation. She had me swear on mylife not to tell anyone. This incident was probably two years ago.

:But I was very intrigued and excited that

.A. magic exists

.B. my grandma was a witch

    As a Harry Potter fanthat was the ultimate dream come true, but then again it wasn't like HarryPotter, it was just basic genetics, you may or may not get the powers.

    Well, since I'm 17now, I was waiting a whole year for my powers to kick in, like a little girlwaiting for her first period, but sadly, I never got them, but my period isstill thriving, GREAT JOB genetics you had one fucking job.

    I left my house after20 minutes of trying to look decent for school, over the sound of my lovelyparents screaming at each other, I'd compliment the weather but it was fuckingfreezing, seeing as it was the middle of November. Oh, I should also probably mention that I live in London, yes I live in the same city as the loves of my life, and no, I don't basicallysee them every time I go out, as many people falsely assume.

    I've actually nevermet them before, because as I said earlier, my parents are assholes who thinkmy interests are a waste of time.

School, ugh, school, ugh, more school, people i dont like, until finally, it's over.

    After school I goSTRAIGHT to Janice's house, my parents don't really mind that I hang out withher a lot. They're probably happy that I'm out of their hair for a couple ofhours.
