Becca;
She was so devastated and depressed after Dan's death, she wasn't eating, she wasn't sleeping, she was only crying, she would barely say anything for months, she was in shock, she was depressed and devastated, it took her a few years to get over her depression.
Janice helped her, she got her through it, Becca started speaking, eating properly again, and even going to school.
Janice;
She seems like the hero of this story, but she was in fact, she'd fake happiness and positivity for the sake of everyone around her, but she felt so bad. But she HAD to be strong for Becca.
But she's Janice, she gets through anything. She's a fucking badass.
Phil;
His life the first couple of months after losing Dan weren't the proudest moments of his life,
He'd drink himself to sleep, sometimes cry himself to sleep, he'd even sometimes go to Janice's house in the middle of the night, he'd be drunk out of his mind,
He'd stand in front of her door and scream, "YOU KILLED HIM, YOU TOOK HIM AWAY FROM ME, FUCK YOU!"
Janice would walk out and try to help him, or try to get him inside her house, but he just cries, pushes her away, and leaves.
This happened a few times, but he eventually gave in and started talking to Janice. She helped him. Phil was back and up on his feet within 7 months of Dan's death.
Phil also realized that he had to be strong, not only for himself, but for his millions and millions of fans, who were also grieving over Dan. Phil knew that Dan was watching over him, he knew that Dan would be proud of how strong he was being. He will be reunited with him again, and that's what keeps him going.
That's what keeps all of them going on,
Becca has Janice,
Janice has Becca,
Phil has his fans & family.
The end.
