Crushes and Cakes

~Moonlights POV~

After Tails showed us his invention and Shadow Briar and everyone left I went back to making apt he cake I had started. I sighed as I pulled the cake out of the oven freezing the pan to cool it. I had found that trick out a while ago to cool stuff off.

I set the cake down and stared at it. The cake wasn't gonna frost itself. I went to see if I had some cream cheese to make frosting. For once we had something I needed.

"Moonlight..." I said tails I turned around and he was standing in the door way.

"What is it tails?" I asked turning back around to start making the frosting.

"Well I have a question I was gonna ask sonic but he went on a run." He said I heard him pull out a stool and sit down.

"What's your question?" I asked turning around smiling setting the bowl of frosting in the island.

"Well..." Tails looked down. "This is weird I mean... You're my sister." He said.

"You can just wait to ask sonic when he's home." I said mixing the frosting.

"Well... I have a crush." I watched his face turn red.

"Hmm..." I turned around and grabbed the cake placing it on the island. "Well what about it?" I asked.

"It's just that..." He sighed "I don't know what to do." He looked up at me.

"Just be yourself." I smiled as I started frosting the cake with pink frosting.

"Really will that work?!" Tails asked "I wasn't sure..."

I laughed "It always works because they need to like you for you!"

"Thank you thank you thank you!" Tails gave me a hug. "Nice cake by the way." He said.

"Totally." I laughed as tails left. I wonder who he had a crush on. It seemed reasonable that it was Ambrosia but maybe it was someone else. I stared at the pink cake I front of me I had some serious frosting to do.

|Sonic's POV|

I wasn't really thinking. Just running. It was calming.

My mind was a jumble of thoughts but not one in particular. I wish I had been paying better attention when I tripped over a log.

No tripping over a log wouldn't be that bad but when your running at the speed of sound it sucks. I crashed into a tree then came to a stop rubbing my head.

I sighed climbing up the tree resting on a branch. I put my hands behind my head resting. All I really wanted was a nap.

I closed my eyes resting. It was peaceful I hadn't had time to be alone in so long. Just time for myself.

I smiled staring feeling the nice warm sun shine down on me as I drifted into a light sleep.

-Ambrosias POV-

Me and tails were the only ones awake. Sonic was gone and moonlight had go to bed hours ago.

"Aren't you worried about sonic?" I asked tails.

"Nah he does this all the time." He shrugged. We were out in the garage the bright lights where on and tails was fixing the Tornado while I watched sitting on his work desk.

"Really all the time?" I asked.

He sighed standing up. "Sonia's complicated he's been thinking a lot lately I think he's over thinking and freaking himself out he just need to get away take a break."

I nodded my head then yawned. It was two I'm the morning but I would stay up all night if it meant more time with tails.

"Come on let's go to bed." He said. I got down of the desk and followed him upstairs.

He said goodnight to me as I climbed in the bed in the guest bedroom. It felt big and empty. The house felt empty.

I tried to fall asleep but ended up staying up until four. I couldn't sleep I kept drifting into sleep than waking up.

I sighed pulling the covers over my head. I couldn't sleep and that was that. I guess tomorrow I'll just take a nap.
