It's huge.

And old too.

These were my first two thoughts when I first laied my eyes on Los Angeles High. It was a two story brick building that had ivy grown on its walls. The huge oak trees in front of the school showed how ancient the building was. Students spread out across the front lawn of the school, chatting, hugging and laughing. Some of the students were sitting under the trees, others on the wooden benches, a few on the stairs and a couple were skateboarding.

"I'm not dreaming, right?" I squealed in delight. Cole pinched my arm, making me pull myself sideways. My head hit the window painfully. "Hey! What was that for?" I rubbed the side of my head, glaring at him.

"So you know you're not dreaming." He said, shurgging. I pinched his neck, hopping it would hurt him twice as it hurt me. Sadly, he didn't even flinch. He's definitely bodyguard material.

"Listen." He started, turning to look at me with his serious face. "Your name is Willow Grace Thomson. You are a seventeen years old junior. You came from Canada. You have no siblings or any known relatives except for me, your cousin, Jayden. Got it?" He already told me this thirteen times today.

I had the urge to roll my eyes at him but decided against it. I muttered a quick 'yes' and got out of the car. The moment I stepped out of the car was the moment I noticed everyone's eyes on me. Correction: Everyone's eyes on the car. A few people turned to look at me but that didn't last long because everyone's gaze shifted to Cole who stepped out of the car dramatically slow, running his hands through his golden hair. This time I did roll my eyes at him. He can be so dramatic sometimes.

I turned to look at the other cars parked around us. There were a few convertibles, muscle cars and a couple of sports cars but nothing like Cole's car. Not even close. I mentally face palmed myself at Cole's stupidity. This was my first day and I already got people staring at me. Great.

Lesson #6: Normal people don't drive white Bugatties.

I threw my bag over my shoulder and started making my way towards the school. Suddenly, realization hit me, this was real. This was not a dream. It's real. I internally back flipped with joy. I felt like- like I wanted to burst with happiness. No one knew who I was, they thought that I was one of them, this makes me sound like I'm from a different species but the truth was that I always felt like I was infact, from a different species. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I felt a presence next to me.

"Uh, Cole?" I stopped walking, making him stop too. He turned to look at me, giving me a questioning look. "Where are you going?"

"There?" He answered, pointing at the school building. That's when I noticed that he carried a back pack. My eyes widened as I finally started catching up. "Why do you look so shocked, classmate?" He asked, smirking at my reaction.

"But you're like fifty! You can't go to school! Its illegal!" I burst out.

"First of, I'm only twenty two." He raised one finger in front of my face. "Second, yes I can go to school and I will." He raised a second finger. "Third, it's legal and who says we have to do everything legally?" He raised a third finger. I slapped his hand away from my face, glaring at him.

"I am not a child, I can take care of myself. You don't have to follow me around." I argued. I stomped my feet stubbornly and crossed my arms across my chest. He just grinned at me as I continued glaring at him.

"I'm not following you." He said confidently. I was about to disagree with him but his next words stopped me. "I'm following your father's orders."

What did he just say?

"Yup, you heard me right." He confirmed. I will have to call my fa- "And don't even think about talking to him about it. He's gonna cancel this whole thing and drag you back home."
