Prologue

I closed the door to my 4 story house. Walking up the stairs, I thought about how suckish my day at school was. Ha! Mirna should have just not stood up for me..

Today I had a humongous fight at school with a girl named Selena. I was so embarrassed, I literally felt like crying right in that baseball field. In front of everyone. Stupid 9th grade drama.

-Flashback-

"Yo, Jackie!!" My ex-best friend called to me. I turned around, startled by her approach. "Oh, hey..uh...Selena. How's it going?" I tried to sound confident. Ever since 6th grade, she has stopped being my friend, and joined the "Popular's".

"Nothing much, I, just wanted to tell you...Your Grandma called--she wants her sweater back." She and her nasty little "friends" snickered. Really, Selena? That's the oldest insult in the book.

"Don't mess with me. Just don't. I'm not in the mood to deal with you and your b**chy friends. Goodbye." I headed for Gym class inside the building.

"Excuse me??!" She boomed.

I stopped walking. "You heard what I said." The next thing I new was, getting a sharp pain in the back of my right leg. She kicked me.

It's on.

I threw my backpack onto the dirty field. We were standing face to face. "You don't want me to go there, Selena."

She didn't reply, but instead she punched me right smack in the jaw.

I bubbled up with anger, and hit her in the face, causing her to fall to the floor.

She then swung her leg and hit me in the calf, causing ME to fall down. Oh, how did I get here. Selena sat up, with a bloody nose, and repeatedly punched me in my face.

My actual best friend, Mirna Gosling, was walking by to go to her next class, when she saw me getting creamed by Selena. She dropped her books in shock, and ran to my rescue--kind of. She ended up getting creamed also, and her, Selena, and I were all sent to the office. Again.

But of course Selena got her way, and Mirna and I ended up being the bad Guys. I cannot let my mom find out..

-End of Flashback-

I'm not even allowed to be with Mirna for 3 days. She was sent to the hospital. And of corse IM responsible for that.

I heard my mom enter the house as I walked in to my room. "Jackie, sweetie! Come down, I have a surprise!!" Oh crap! If she found out-

"Jackie hurry!! Now!"

Oh well. Here goes nothing. I put my hood on and tied the strings so tight, that you couldn't see my face. "Coming!!" I yelled back.

Woops. My mom instantly new what was up, and flipped my hood of and was not surprised by the fact that I was--beaten up.

She sighed. "Again. Really? You two just need to-" she was cut off by the tv suddenly turning on to a new BREAKING NEWS headline report.
