Hunter's Countless Dream

I let out a small shiver. I couldn't help it. It was cold. I was wearing a plaid flannel, and ripped jeans. Like usual. I looked to my left and saw the love of my life. His eyes were beautiful always, but tonight the stars reflected in his blue orbs. I couldn't help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I thought about the long road it took us to get here.

I looked back to the sky. It was beautiful purple-ish and coated in more stars than I could ever count. I was laying in the bed of a pick up truck. In the middle of a field. I could smell the bug spray Cas had demanded we both wear. He was also on his back, but his head was on my chest. That alone probably gave me enough heat.

We were under a thick blanket, decorated with Batman and Superman symbols. Underneath the comforter, my hand was mindlessly fidgeting with one of his belt loops.  I wasn't completely sure when I started this. However, I've come to accept it as something I just do.

We hadn't said a word since we had arrived. Not that I was complaining. I was happy. My boy friend was beside me, looking at stars. I noted to myself there was a bunny shape in the stars. Maybe I was seeing things. It was still cute. I love fluffy bunnies.

"Dean. There is something in common you have with the night sky" Cas whispered breaking the silence.

"And what's that?" I said in the sweet tone reserved for Cas that I once used when speaking to Lisa.

"Both are covered in countless amounts of dots. These dots are captivating and interesting, even though you know that you will never be able to count them, you could lose yourself looking" Castiel explained.

I felt my heart surge at the sweet words.  I wasntnsure what to say to something so sweet, so I leaned over and kissed his forehead.

I sat up in my bed wiping my eyes groggily. Morning. Mornings suck.

"There you are. You have been calling Cas' name for the last 20 minutes. He actually showed up" Sam complained reading through some case files.

"Indeed. I thought you were praying to me, but you seemed lost in your dream. I didn't want to interrupt" Castiel explained.

"Son of a bitch. Whatever. What we got, Sammy?" I asked as I sat up adjusting my jacket.

A/N: Hi Lonely Flowers. You may have caught the Superman and Batman reference. If not, its to Dean saying "I'm Batman" and Castiel being referred to as "Superman going dark side" when [SPOILER] he was working for Crowley
