Shawn Mendes One Shots

Driving lesson

I got into Shawn's car and slumped in the seat.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Can we drive somewhere? I don't care where, I just need to clear my head"

He jokingly said "Do you need to go to a large empty space and scream"

I laughed "Not exactly"

He chuckled and started his car up.

We ended up in an empty field and sat in silence for a moment.

"Hey, you're 17" he said out of the blue

"Yep" I replied.

"How haven't you learned to drive yet?"

I sighed "I can't afford it but I would love to"

"Hold that thought" Shawn said starting his car back up.

"Where are we going?" I asked but Shawn just smiled and carried on driving.
We pulled up to a large car park on the end of another field with several hay stacks dotted around it.

"What are we doing here?" I asked.

"I'm going to give you your first driving lesson" he said.

"Really? In a car park? Is that even allowed?" I replied.

"Yes and who cares if it's not, now get out and switch places with me" he said undoing his seatbelt.

We both got out of the car and swapped places.
I sat down in the drivers seat and examined what was infront of me.

Shawn rested one of his hands on my back and kept one hand free to guide me.

"Turn the key"

I tuned the key and the car immediately started up.

"Now place one foot on this" he pointed to one of pedal. (I said one of the pedals because I have no idea what it is called don't judge me I literally know nothing about cars)

I pressed my foot down gently on it and the car slowly started to move.

"Now keep your eyes on the road and turn when you need to"

I drove us all around the car park and Shawn helped guide me around some of the tricky parts.

After I stopped driving we sat in silence until I looked up and saw the stars were out.
It was a clear night and there were no clouds in the sky.
I immediately opened the car door and climbed onto the roof of Shawn's car.

"What are you doing?" Shawn asked taking off his seatbelt.

"Look how clear the stars are, I wanna lay down and watch them" I replied.

Shawn said nothing and climbed onto the roof with me.
We layed next to each other looking up at the sky.

"Wow" I said under my breath"

Shawn looked at me and pushed his eyebrows together "They're just stars"

I looked at him "They're not just stars, skies like these are rare" I paused "With all the things that are happening in this world I sometimes think the stars are too scared to come out, sometimes I look outside and the sky is just black, no clouds, stars, airplanes, nothing just black. It's almost like the stars are scared of us"

Shawn looked back up "I don't blame them"

We watched the stars for a little while longer.

"Hey" he turned to face me.

I turned to face him "What?"

"You said you needed to clear your head earlier, is everything okay?"

"Yeah" I sat up "I just needed a break"

He sat up and looked at me "From what?"

I took a deep breath "Everything"

He looked at me with a confused face.

"It's hard to explain but recently I've been feeling like everything is piling on top of me and I don't know how to stop it." I paused "I just feel like I can't breathe" I could feel my eyes begin to water as I took another deep breath.

"Come here" he opened his arms and
pulled me in for a hug.

He looked at me "Things will get better I promise"

I smiled and he lowered his head to kiss me. This time it was different, it lasted longer and was a lot more passionate. He even slipped his tongue in my mouth and I did the same.

Kissing him felt so good and I didn't want it to end.

I started to get uncomfortable so I decided to move closer to him.

I placed my foot on the edge of the roof to push myself up but it slipped causing me to fall off.

Thankfully I landed on a some hay.

Shawn immediately got down down and ran over to me.
"Are you okay?" he asked trying not to burst into laughter.

"I'm fine" I said laughing "Can you help me up?" I reached out my hand and Shawn grabbed it. Instead of pulling myself up I pulled his arm towards me making him fall onto the hay with me.

We both looked at each other and burst into laughter.

"Let's go" Shawn said helping me up.

We got back into his car and he dropped me home.
