Violet's POV
"I thought Logan said he'd be here by now, I don't want to go to school alone!" I spoke my thoughts aloud as a walked up the stairs of the Death Weapon Meister Academy, or DWMA for short. It was my first day there and my meister/brother wasn't with me! He said he forgot something at his friend's house and had to go get it because 'it's super critical for his learning' or something.
My name is Violet Stormer. Today is my first day going to the DWMA. I'll tell you something about me right off the bat, I'm a very shy and awkward person. To me, everything I do or say is awkward, but once you get to know me, I'm nice and sweet. I also have strange addictions to coins, pens, fedoras, and the eye color of people. I have an older sister, Mady (she's about one or two years older.), and a younger brother who is my meister. Like I said, his name is Logan. I'm about a year or two older. My sister is a meister. She practices with her weapon (who is also her boy-friend) all the time. She is a two star meister and is usually out on her independent studies. Her boy-friends name is Joey. I don't trust that her weapon is her boyfriend because if they break up then I don't know will happen, but far they have gathered about 70 something souls. Logan and I have only collected 20, but for not taking on jobs to gather souls, that’s a good amount.
One more thing about all of us, we are demi-gods. My father is the god Zeus, and whatever myths say about him, they're all wrong. The only wife and lover of Zeus was a weapon/meister named Lisa Stormer. They had three children, us. I have the same power as our father Zeus, Mady has the same power of uncle Hades and Logan has the same powers of uncle Poseidon. And because I'm part god, I absolutely loathe people that talk about being gods or stating that they are stronger than a god. Well that's the end of my history, back to the story!
When I got to the top of the stairs, I was scared out of my mind. Logan wasn't there to help me with my awkwardness and help me talk to people, so I as flipping out. I slowly walked forward towards the academy, taking all the time in the world. As I neared the school, I saw a boy with spiky white hair waiting with a girl with her sandy brown hair in piggy tails. The boy saw me coming, smiled, and signaled me to come over to them. I was nervous so I just smiled half-heartedly and continued advancing toward them. Once I got close I notice that the boy's eye color was cool, it was a crimson color. The girl had green eyes, but they seemed different, but I couldn't figure out why.
"Hey, you must be the new girl, that's cool." The boy spoke up after I stopped in front of them.
"Uh, thanks." I tried to stay calm even though I thought this guy was completely cute, I just knew I was blushing. But with my luck, that girl with him is his girl friend.
"Hi, I'm Maka, and this here is my partner Soul." She pointed to the cute boy."We're here to show you around the school. Where's your partner? Or do you fight alone? Are you a weapon or meister?" Maka started bombarding me with questions without even asking what my name was.
"Uh, shouldn't you should ask me what my name is first?" I giggled at her enthusiasm.
"Yeah Maka, you're gonna make her pass out if this is how you're gonna greet her, it's so un-cool."
"MAKA CHOP!" She had somehow pulled a book from who-knows-where and hit Soul with it. He then proceeded to pass out and lay on the floor. I started to laugh and felt my nervousness and shyness fade away. "Well now that I've dealt with that," she turned to me, "what's your name?"
"My name is Violet Stormer, and to answer some of your earlier questions, yes I have a partner, he's just late."
Once Soul was better, he got up and joined the conversation. But it may have been my imagination, but he gave me a skeptical look at the mention of my 'partner', but that’s only my imagination, right?
