We were walking down the maze of hallways that apparently lead to the 'Death Room'.
'WOW, this place is HUGE', is all I could think as I traversed the hallways. I looked down at my feet as I walked, as that was a really bad habit. But I only do it so I don't crash into the person in front of me. If I can see where there feet are, I can't run into them. But even if my head was down, I could still tell how big the school is.
As I was walking I just caught someone saying something to me.
"Sorry, I was daydreaming, what?" I started to redden a little because of my rudeness.
Maka had a reassuring smile, "It's fine, I asked you what type of weapon you were."
I smiled, "Oh, I can't believe I forgot to tell you, and we were even talking about it earlier."
As I was about to tell her, Soul called some kids down the hallway. As they neared, I saw that it was two girls and a boy. When they got close enough to where I could see them through my glasses, I noticed that the two girls had similar outfits except one had jean shorts and the other had jean pants. I also noticed that their hair lengths and color were different. Then I noticed the boy who was in the middle. He had black hair with white strips on one side. But what caught my attention were his eyes. They were yellow with a ring, but the part on the inside was darker than the yellow on the outside. I have never met someone with eyes like that. The closest were my eyes which were gold. He spotted me and gave me a death glare. I jumped a little and hid behind Logan, even if he was a little shorter than me. The boy then walked up to me and just stared at me making me uncomfortable.
"Your hair is a-symmetrical." He told me in a monotone voice.
I gave him a confused expression, what did he have against my hair?!
"Pardon?" I asked with confusion taped to my words.
"DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? YOU HAIR IS NOT SYMMETRICAL BECAUSE IT'S PARTED TO THE LEFT! EVERYTHING ELSE IS FINE EXCEPT YOUR HAIR!!!" He then started a rant about why symmetry is important. His outburst scared me and one of the two twins, I assume they are twins, was trying to calm him down while the other was rolling around laughing.
"But I like it this way, it looks better." My voice almost cracked as I spoke. What he said hurt me because I'm self-conscious about how I look. If I think I look weird I always think people notice that part of me and I think they judge me by it.
"Well fix it before I do." He gave me this stern look in his eye that made me just want to crawl in a hole and die. But, I was determined to get people to like me, so I was strong and didn't back away.
"Fine," I started strongly, "I'll fix it." I pulled a headband from my pocket and fixed my hair so my bangs were slicked back on the top of my head.
"Now that's better." The kid gave me a warm smile (which I was surprised he had one) and put his hand out. "My name is Death the Kid, but you can call me Kid, and my partners Liz and Patty." He gestured to the two twins. I shook his hand and so did Logan.
Kid turned toward Maka. "So, you guys headed to the Death Room?"
"Yeah, want to come with us?" Maka asked, but looked at Logan and me to see if it was ok. We just shrugged our shoulders to say 'whatever'.
"Well I do have to ask father some questions, so why not?" Kid said in his monotone voice.
When I heard him say that, I quickly used my electric powers to contact Logan's electric brain waves to talk to him with my mind.
"So this is the 'Death the Kid' we hear about sometimes?" I asked Logan mentally.
"Must be, I don't think anyone is that stupid to just randomly name their child 'Death the Kid'." Logan replied jokingly.
"Whatever. So, how powerful do you think he is? I mean he is a shinigami." I questioned.
"I don't have a clue. But, I think we can find out our own way, right?" He quickly looked over and smirked.
I smiled slightly, "I guess you're right." After getting out my last word, I stopped the connection between our minds, only because I didn't want to hear about any of his perverted thoughts.
