Part 16 : And That's Why You Never Underestimate A Lodge

- you can't just keep her here! Betty yelled at the officer.
- they think that she can have valuable information. He assured.
- I want to see my girlfriend now and I'm taking her home with me ! I said angry.
"There is a problem in the interrogation room hurry witness in danger !" We could hear his monitor say.
-Veronica ! Betty said worried we ran after the officer to a locket door.
- they don't have to. It's all on tape. I heard Veronica say as the officer plunged trough the door. I saw an officer standing way to close to Veronica for comfort holding a tight grip on her arm.
-Get the hell of  my girlfriend! I yelled mad.
He looked at us shocked and instantly let go of her.
- and that's why you never underestimate a Lodge. She said smirking at him before running to me. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close to me.
- and don't even think about bugging us again or we're suing your as ! Betty said mad.
I think I've never seen Betty this mad.
- are you okay ? Betty asked her as we walked out of the police office.
- for Being harassed for the second time this week I'm oddly okay. She said and shrugged.
- I wanted to kill that cop when I saw him. I said mad. She looked at me sad.
- It only would have made more harm. Thank you tho. She said and gave me a quick peck.
- so are you two together now ? Jughead said and gave me a nudge.
- yeah. I said and smiled at Veronica.
- well that is worth celebrating! Betty said.
- to pop's we go! Jughead said and we all laughed.

We sat at our regular table and me and Veronica shared a milkshake. I can't believe I almost let her get hurt again. I know it wasn't my fault but I couldn't deal with the thought what that cop might have done if we hadn't entered that room and if she hadn't been able to turn the camera back on. I saw that Veronica was looking at me worried.
I gave her a smile.
- so I have to ask it's been bugging me since we left the station, what did you mean by never underestimating a lodge ? Betty asked Veronica she froze. They knew her as Veronica brooks.
- oh you know strong as a lodge. I joked trying to cover for her.
- Archie that's the worst lie I ever heard. It's okay I'll tell them just not here. Veronica said calmly.
