Part 26: I Just Wanted To Tell Her I Loved Her, But She Wouldn't Let Me

- Archies Point of view -

I went outside to get some air while Veronica left for the bathroom.
- hello there Andrews. Cheryl said with a smile.
- hi Cheryl. I said polite.
- so I was wondering if you could help me with something. She said waking close to me.
- um like what ?  I said confused.
- well you see my dad thinks I'm irresponsible and won't let me get my part of the company but if we pretended we were dating he'd think you'll change me , my dad loves you Archie.she said and touched the collar of my blazer.
- um sorry Cheryl I have a girlfriend. I said moving her hand of me.
- oh please that new girl will be board of you in a week. She said in disgust.
- she's not like that. I said offended.
She paused for a minute looking over my shoulder.
- oh really. She said and then she crashed her lips against mine. I froze.

-what the hell Archie ! I heard Veronica say and I turned around horrified. I looked at her she had tears streaming down her face.
- Veronica it's not what it looks like! I pleaded running up to her .
- save it Archie, I thought you we're different but your just like everyone else ! She said mad. Those worlds hurt me. I didn't kiss Cheryl she kissed me.
- Ronnie listen - I pleaded trying to take her hand. But she cut me off:
- don't touch me. I'm done. She said as She stormed back inside. I turned back to Cheryl she stood there smirking.
- you happy now ! I spat at her before running after Veronica but I couldn't find her.
- Jughead have you seen Veronica ? I asked after finding him.
- listen I don't know what you did, but she's a wreck. Betty took her to her house.
- I'm calling my dad I'm going there ! I said calling my dad
- what the hell happened Archie ? Jughead said sounding kind of mad. He was mad at me ? He didn't even know what happened.
- Cheryl fucking happened, she kissed me and Veronica saw it but I swear to god it was just a split second I was just about to push her of me. I said now tears forming in my eyes.
- god damn it pick up. I said angry.
- Archie? He said confused.
- you have to come pick me up I have to get to Betty's to talk to Veronica right now ! I hung up and in 3 minutes he was outside.
- care to tell me what happened ? He asked worried.
- I will after I sort this out. I said and then I got out of the car running to Bettys house pounding on the door.

Betty opened after what felt like forever.
- where is she I need to talk to her! I said Walking past her.
- she doesn't want to talk to you! How could you Archie ? And with Cheryl ! Betty said mad .
- I didn't kiss her ! She kissed me! I said mad.
- well you looked like you enjoyed it. I heard Veronica say as she came out the kitchen.
- no, I was just about to push her off.
Please Ronnie you gotta believe me. I pleaded tears welling up in my eyes.
- Archie that's the thing I don't know if I can. She said crying.
- babe please. I said as I tried to touch her hand put she just put up her hand.
- please don't. Just go. She said turning around.
- please I love -. She cut me off.
- just go.
All I wanted to do was hold her,
She wouldn't let me. I just wanted to tell her I loved her, but she wouldn't let me.
-please. I pleaded now crying.

- Archie just give her some space. Betty said touching my shoulder making me walk to the door.
- do you believe me? I asked her sad.
- I don't know what to believe Archie,
I want to believe you but right now Veronica needs me. She said sad.
- she kissed me I swear. I said crying.
- goodnight Archie. She said closing the door.
I went back to the car. My dad was waiting outside. 
- son are you okay what happened? He asked me.
- Veronica, I think I lost her. I said as I cried.
He hugged me tightly as I cried in his arms knowing I might have lost the girl I love tonight.
