Part 36 : I'm Going Crazy Here Without You

- Archies Point Of View -

The nurse taped my shoulder and gave me some pills for the pain and then she sent me off. I walked by the operating rooms. I looked inside one of them and saw Veronica laying there on the operation table.
-she's flatlining! Common don't die on us! I heard the doctor scream as the monitor showed her heart stop beating.
No she can't die. I felt tears start streaming down my face.
- no Veronica you gotta keep fighting! I yelled. The doctors looked up at me. Shit.
- get him out of here!
A nurse came running pulling me away.
- what happened? Betty asked me.
- she flatlined. I said as I sat down.
- Veronicas dead ? Betty said crying.
-we don't know that people flatline and survive all the time. Jughead said trying to be optimistic.
The doctor came out of the operation room.
- you guys are here for ms Veronica Lodge? He asked.
- yes. We all said as we stood up.
- well she sure is a fighter, we almost lost her in there. She's in room 47 if you want too se her. He said and smiled.
We all rushed to her room.
There she was laying so peaceful.
I sat down next to her bed holding her hand.

- ah Mija I'm so sorry this happened to you. Her mother said as she sat down next to her on the other side.

*3 weeks later*
-hey Ronnie I'm back. I said as I kissed her forehead. 
It's been 3 weeks and she's still in a coma.
- Archie what are you doing here aren't you supposed to be in school? Veronicas mum asked me.
- yeah couldn't concentrate. I said taking Veronicas hand in mine.
-I know it's hard. She said putting a hand on my shoulder.
- I'm getting some coffee do you want some? she asked me.
- sure thanks. I Said and smiled. She nodded and walked out.
- Veronica i miss you. I'm going crazy here without you. I said kissing her hand.
- don't leave me hanging here okay my dad keeps on setting the table for 3 every Saturday. I said laughing a little.
- is there still a place for dinner for me? I heard Veronicas voice say. I opened my eyes chocked.
- hey you're awake. I said chocked.
- hey you don't get rid of me that easy. She said and we both laughed.
- ouch. She said.
- are you okay ? I asked worried.
- yes, just hurts when I laugh. She said and touched my cheek.
- I love you. I said and kissed her.
- I love you too. She said and smiled.
