Becca's POV

I sat upon the table, my friends semi-surrounded by pigmen and the evil clones.  Rebecca sat across from me, looking way too smug for her own good.

What do you want, Rebecca...?

I'M KINDA CURIOUS AS TO IF YOU CAN REVIVE IL OR NOT....

I sighed.  I need to see her body.

Known raised il's body and levitated her across the table, laying her down gently in front of me.

She had a gash in her side that had stopped bleeding already.

I placed a hand on her head and closed my eyes.

...

...

...

Oh no....

I opened my eyes.  What...killed her?

I notice Aura wince and look away, tears already starting to appear in her eyes.

"It'ssssss...a long sssssstory, but Aura wassssss controlled by Herob**** in the battle and...sssssshot il in the back when il sssssstabbed him with the ssssssword."

I sighed sadly.  I...I can't bring her back....  Not here, anyways.  When...a friend kills another friend, whether intentional or not, the soul becomes...secluded.  It doesn't matter if the person forgave the friend or not.  The soul feels...betrayed and refuses to return to the same world it was killed in....  I...I can send her back to the real world and she'll be alive, but...her time here has ended.

Aura swiftly looked to me, a few tears already out.  "Then...please...send her back...."

I bit my lip, looking at Rebecca.

She seemed deep in thought.

Can I...do that?

"Erm, why are you asking her?!"

I mean, Kit, she kinda has your lives in her hands, and I'd rather not risk her using what I just said against you....

I...DON'T CARE.  DO IT....

I pondered a bit at her tone before sighing, placing a hand on il's shoulder.

Sorry your story had to end so abruptly there, il....  I whispered as her body faded out.

Once il was fully gone, I sighed again.  I know that isn't it.  Seriously, Rebecca....  Actually, how are you even alive?!

She narrowed her eyes before sighing deeply.  IT'D BE EASIER TO SHOW YOU....

She crawled over to me and I tensed.  She place her hand on my head and a terrible pressure filled my head.

I shut my eyes with a grimace, and then the pressure died down until I felt surrounded by...a terribly cold and lonely atmosphere.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around.

Just...blackness with some dark gray particles floating around.

I've seen this before whilst playing Minecraft.

The void.

Both Rebecca and I were hazy, and I saw a greenish-yellow ball of light in front of us.

I COULDN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT A BODY, SO I DISAPPEARED INTO THE VOID.  FOR FAR TOO LONG.  LONELINESS.  FREEZING, YET NEVER DISAPPEARING.  NEVER DYING.  JUST...THERE.

I felt a pang in my chest hearing her sad tone.  I'd never heard her sad before.

I THOUGHT I WAS CONDEMNED HERE FOREVER, BUT THEN...HE CAME.

Two white lights just a little apart from each other appeared before a body showed up.

Herobrine.

"Who are you?"

The greenish-yellow light then spoke.  i am rebecca.  a virus rejected from my host.  bodyless and...alone.

Herobrine seemed to think.  "Would you like to have a body?"

The greenish-yellow light seemed to flare a little.  r-really?  yes!

Herobrine touched the greenish-yellow light, and we seemed to be teleported somewhere...very hot and maroon.

Probably the Nether.

The greenish-yellow light began to shimmer as Herobrine seemed to focus on it.

After a while, a replica of my body formed around the greenish-yellow light.  The eyes were hazel, but they quickly turned gray once Rebecca fully possessed it.

Rebecca sat up, blinking and moving a bit.  TH-THANK YOU!

Herobrine nodded.  "However, my services do not come without a price.  I want you to do me a favor.  A huge one."

Rebecca nodded, looking expectantly at him.  ANYTHING.

"In about a month or so...I'm most likely going to die."

I froze.  He...He knew...?

Rebecca, the one next to me, shrugged.  I SUPPOSE.  I WAS SUPER CONFUSED THEN.

As she said that, Rebecca gave a confused face but said nothing.

Herobrine sighed.  "I need someone to inherit my place as god of the Nether, and...who better than one who is technically undead?"

Rebecca's eyes widened.  S-SERIOUSLY?

Herobrine nodded.  "Seriously."

Rebecca smirked evilly.  THEN YES.

Rebecca, next to me, looked to me as the scene faded away to black, though not like the void.  I HID OUT IN HIS FORTRESS, WANDERING ABOUT, DOING...STUFF.  HOWEVER,ONE DAY, EVJECT AND EVASSIA, THOUGH I DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE EVIL, CAME TO ME, SAYING THAT IT WAS NEARLY TIME.  THEY TOOK ME TO THE FOREST NOT TOO FAR FROM WHEN I FOUND YOUR FRIENDS.  HERE...WATCH.

The scene faded back into a forest with Evject, Evassia, and Rebecca.  Rebecca looked...sad?

Evassia looked to Rebecca.  "Are you ok?  You sssssseem upssssssset about ssssssomething."

AT THE TIME SHE ASKED THAT, I WAS DEEP IN THOUGHT...ABOUT YOU.

Me?  Why me?

BECAUSE...WELL...I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND HOW YOU HAD...FRIENDS.  YOU WERE ALWAYS THE OUTCAST, THE LONER, EVEN SOMETIMES THE BULLY.  YET, I RETURN, AND YOU HAVE 7, MAYBE EVEN MORE, FRIENDS.  YOU...HAVE PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT YOUR WELLBEING.  NO ONE EVER CARED ABOUT ME.

Before I could say anything, Rebecca spoke.  I-IT'S NOTHING.

Rebecca...you...were always evil...always trying to, uh, eat the people I cared about.  Always trying to force your way out and take over....

Rebecca looked away with a wince as the scene faded into black once again.  I...I...I KNOW.  BUT...I WAS...ANGRY.  YOU REJECTED ME AS SOON AS I CAME TO BE.  THE...VIRUS.  YOUR EGOS REJECTED ME AS I TRIED TO STAY ALIVE BY FEEDING ON MEMORIES.  YOU ONCE AGAIN REJECTED ME WHEN I TRIED TO ACTUALLY SEE THE WORLD.  I WAS REJECTED COUNTLESS OTHER TIMES BY...PRETTY MUCH EVERYONE.  EXCEPT THOSE LIKE ME.  MY...MY BITTERNESS TURNED INTO UNENDING RAGE.  I WANTED...SOMETHING TO END THE ACHE.  NO AMOUNT OF FIGHTING OR...OR EVEN KILLING EASED THE PAIN I FELT.  BUT...WHEN I SAW HOW MUCH YOUR FRENDS CARED FOR YOU...IT MADE ME HURT MORE.  I DIDN'T WANT TO STAY AROUND MUCH LONGER, SO I MADE THE DEAL.  IT WAS BASICALLY A WIN-WIN FOR ME BECAUSE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, I COULD GET AWAY FROM YOUR FRIENDS.  HOWEVER, SPENDING SO LONG IN THE VOID MADE ME LONG FOR COMPANIONSHIP, AND THE BAD GUYS DON'T REALLY DO COMPANIONSHIP....

Rebecca...what are you getting at?

I...I WANT TO...TO...BE...FRIENDS....
