I make my way into my room and practically rip off my uniform. I had always liked wearing uniforms because they simplified my mornings but the plaid skirts and oxford shirts weren't exactly comfortable. Since I don't have anything planned tonight and the teachers didn't assign any homework due to the fast approaching spring break, I make my way to the shower. I turn the water as hot as it can go and step in.

As I begin to scrub my hair my mind wanders to our spring break plans. My Mother will be taking the four of us to our beach house in Maine. It will probably be a bit cold, but we always have the best time. Emma and I share a room and the boys have always slept in the room next door, but a lot of times we all end up piled together in the attic watching the stars through the skylight. It's also always been a good way to escape my thoughts. Especially after the party, I need this trip.

The shower water turns cold, signaling its time to get out. I decide to start packing due to the fact that we leave on Friday and it's currently Wednesday evening. I figure that it's better to pack with company than alone, so I call Emma and tell her to bring her suitcase. Less than five minutes later the red head comes barging into my room.

"Hey bitch! Who's ready to get our pack on?" She screams as she throws her suitcase onto my bed. I giggle and throw a pillow at her.

"Hey! Watch the goods!" Emma shouts in between laughs while gesturing to her face.

"Ok ok. Let's actually pack now." I say making my way into the closet. Emma brushes pasts me and starts digging into my clothes. I sigh, knowing this is going to take an eternity.

More than four hours later Emma and I collapse onto my bed. Clothes are scattered around the room and our suitcases are stuffed to the brim with beachwear.

"Who knew you could get such a workout by zipping up a suitcase?" Emma says in between deep breathes.

"I'm exhausted. Maine is going to be fun but the amount of preparation it takes is absolutely dreadful." I exclaim throwing the back of my hand against my forehead for added affect. Emma let's out a short laugh at my dramatics and gets up to look at a picture seated on my dresser. It's of the four of us at the beach house last year. It had been freezing that day but we still decided to go to the beach. Mom had snapped the photo when we weren't looking. I was thrown over Liam's shoulder and he was laughing like a maniac while Emma was sitting in the water looking for shells. Tyler stood off to the side holding a boogie board and was smiling at the rest of us.

"Wow we're such dorks." Emma says blatantly. I laugh and go to stand beside her.

"I can't wait to go back. Hopefully we can tan a little bit. Or in you're case, burn." I say smiling while gesturing to her pale skin. She glares at me and sets the picture down. A knock at the door causes us to pause our packing party. The door slowly opens. Liam pokes his head through.

"Hey. Livy could we talk?" He murmured. I open my mouth to ask him to leave but Emma beats me to it.

"I'll leave you two to it." She glances my way before walking past Liam and out the door. I sigh knowing she did that on purpose and plop down onto my bed. I feel the bed dip with his weight moments later. He lets out a deep sigh and I can feel the burn of his gaze on me.

"Livy." He breathes out, urging me to look at him. "Please look at me."  I can't take my eyes off of the ceiling. I hear the sound of him letting out another shaky breath. I tear my eyes away from the white ceiling and turn to meet his green eyes. I watch as a tear makes its way down his cheek.

"Liam," I said softly. I tried to get more out, but I was caught in a sea of green.

"I'm so sorry Liv. You know that you're one of the most important people in my life. These past couple of days, not talking to you, have been so hard for me. I know what I said hurt you. Please try and forgive me." He uttered, his voice breaking on the last sentence. I let out an exhale. I knew I forgave him, I always would, because even thought I'm just a friend to him, he will always be more than that for me. Knowing I didn't have to speak to let him know of my forgiveness, I rolled my body towards his. He quickly scooped me up into his arms and hugged me.

"Thank you," he whispered. I felt his body relax and I knew we were ok. At least for the time being.
