Dear July,
It's sunny today. I'm sitting in the library, surrounded by shelves and shelves of books, looking out the huge glass windows onto the street. Opposite me sits another girl reading. She looks about my age. She has hair dyed pale purple and two nose piercings. Her black woolly jumper and choker complete the look. It's a bold look, something I admire.
Boldness.
It's something that I've struggled to master.
I guess to me, boldness goes hand-in-hand with authenticity, which is something that I value. The thing about this girl is that she isn't trying too hard. Some people go completely over the top in attempting a particular look. If she had lots of eye shadow and dark lipstick it would take her look too far. But as it is, she simply looks comfortable.
To me, boldness is a part of authenticity because it means that you're unashamedly yourself.
I don't have much else for you today, July.
So until Tomorrow,
Xx
