Chapter Nineteen (Jameson)
The rest of the night was so simple, and perfect. Feeling the foreign feeling of having the silver ring on my finger was interesting to say the least. I couldn't stop looking down at my left hand, like if I looked at it one more time I would discover it missing and that I'd made up the whole thing in my head.
This was new to me. I'd never been through anything like this.
Smiling this hard and this much was probably bad for the muscles in my face, but that didn't matter to me right now. What mattered was that this was happening, this was real, and I couldn't believe it.
I put my hand down long enough to reach into my pocket for my phone.
Hey guys! I have some news to share with you! Meet at my place at 4?
The text on the screen I'd sent burned my hand like an inferno. I had to tell Spencer and Brandon. They knew about Shawn being the way he was, and the embarrassing things that he's been having me do around the office.
Yeah sure, B there @ 4. God Brandon's texting was atrocious. Why can't people text using complete words and punctuation?

This was it. The time of reckoning has come, and I had to face the music.
