"It's been a year, " said Danny calmly. "Don't blame yourself," said Myla. "I should have been there to take care of her," he said emotionally. "Danny, she was getting a little old.  Don't you think she was getting to the end of her time?," asked Myla.

Danny quietly rocked a baby in his arms and didn't respond. "Here,  let me see her, " said Myla.  Myla began to feed the baby with a small, plastic bottle of warm milk.  After the incident with the robber, Danny married Myla and had a baby girl named Lilly.  Myla set Lilly in her crib in the living area, the small baby cooed and turned on its side slowly falling asleep.

She walked toward the iron stove,  and grabbed a spice from the cabinet under the sink.  Since then, a few months after the incident, Danny's mom died of old age. Danny couldn't bear to live in his childhood home again.  So he moved in with Myla. "Hey did you take out the trash?," asked Myla.

Danny rolled his eyes and grabbed the heavy, black trash bags and hauled them to the back door. He grunted and they slipped, then he picked them up again and shoved them into the darkness outside the door. Then he dragged them to a worn down blue trash bin that sat on the north side of the house. He trotted back into the house, went to every door and window and locked them before getting in bed with Myla. The house lay silent and still through half the night.
