Mao and Kitsu Ne (sequel to Neko Mao) [Naruto fanfic]

Ch.2 Tsunade-sama

Hokage's P.O.V

“Shizune!!!” I called

“Yes, lady Tsunage?”she asked opening the doors of my office and walking to my desk.

“Where is my sake?!” she fidgeted nervously

“Um... Tsunade-sama, I think you really shouldn't drink when you're working”she said with nervous smile. A vein appeared on my forehead and I was about to shout at her when a knock was heard on my office doors.

“Come in”I said still irritated. The doors opened with a crack. 'Gosh, I really need to get them fixed' I thought to myself.

Now the doors were wide opened and two people stepped into the room: a young woman and man. The woman couldn't have been older than sixteen while I was not sure about the male cause he had a very muscular frame and looked rather mature.

“Good afternoon, Hokage-sama” the male greeted bowing, female following his example. His rich and deep voice, which sounded so perfect, surprised me quite a bit although I didn't show it.

“Good afternoon to you too. May I ask who are you?”

“Of course. My name is Ne (last) Kitsu (first) and this is my wife Ne (last) Mao (first)” I was taken a back for two things: first, they looked so young and were already married, second, the name Mao was the one Sakura, Ino and their friends were repeating for thousand times to me. I decided to ask just to make sure:

“By any chance could you be Neko Mao, the one, which came to Konoha at age of six and became a shinobi here, but when disappeared right after the Chunnin exams?”I asked carefully. If she turned out to be the same person, when I must be very cautious cause no one still knows the reason of her disappearance. For the first time I took in their appearance. Kitsu was very tall and as I had pointed out before – very muscular. He looked very strong and maybe even dangerous, but that was only until you look at his face, which held a gentle expression and made you believe in all the words he said. Both he and Mao had silver/ white hair which weren't gravity defying like Kakashi's and instead were very long, ankle-length. For a female that wasn't unusual but for a male that was not so common. Also both of them had yellow eyes and Kitsu had a cat like slits instead of normal pupil , which slightly reminded me of that bastard Orochimaru, while Mao's were somewhat hazy and unfocused.

“Indeed I am, Lady Hokage” I looked up startled brought out of my thoughts. It was the first time she talked and her voice was silent but very beautiful.

“If it's so when can you tell me the reason behind your disappearance”

“You probably don't know, but at the age of three my parents abandoned me and left me all alone in a forest, a kind man, whose name nor appearance I knew since he always wore a mask, took care of me till the age of six, when the man, I called Sensei, thought that it would be much more safer and more good to live in a village among the children my age. That is when I came to Konoha. I didn't hear a word from Sensei till the Chunin exams when straight after my fight I received a letter from him saying that he was in danger and needed my help. Without waiting for anything I ran out of the village and to a border of the Land of Fire, which took me two days to travel to, only to find out that my Sensei was killed. Latter I realized that he worked for Orochimaru and knowing about the invasion wanted me out of the village for my safety. But sadly someone found out about the letter, he sent, and he was killed immediately.”she finished her story and I believed her completely.
