A few days later, we were at the dojo. Lloyd was balancing on one hand, with all of us on top of him.
"In order to bare the weight of all Ninjago on your shoulders, you must first learn to bear the weight of all of us." Wu told the Green Ninja.
"Uh Sensei? I'm starting to think this was a bad idea." Jay said shakily. "Staring to think? Starting to think?! Can't you think about these things when you're on the ground?!" I shouted.
"Yeah, sensei, he's just a kid." Cole agreed. "In order for him to succeed, we must all trust one another." Wu told us.
"Hear that Kai? You've gotta trust me." Crystal smirked. "Yeah I'll trust you. Right off a cliff is where I'll trust you." Kai muttered. "Focus." Wu repeated.
Suddenly something flew through the wall and knocked us all over! "What was that?" Cole moaned.
"Whoa whoa whoa!!!" Dareth ran to the scene. "This wasn't supposed to happen until tomorrow!"
"Tomorrow? Let me see that order." The construction worker looked over a paper. "Oops. My bad. Sorry about that. We'll be back in the morning." He chuckled and walked away.
"Uh, Dareth? What's this all about?" Cole asked.
"Well, I fell behind on some of my payments, and some developer named Darnagom Enterprises is buying out the entire block to make some stupid Frisbee Golf Course. If I don't come up with $50,000 by tomorrow, the dojo is gone." Dareth cried.
"You pathetic wimp! I get friends who aren't you and everything crashes?! All my hard work! Down the drain!" Crystal screamed.
"We already lost the Bounty. We can't lose the dojo now!" Jay said worriedly. "All my trophies. All my fake trophies!" Dareth cried.
"Wait a minute. Darnagom? If you re-arrange the letters, it spells-" Zane started before Jay guessed. "O-Grandma?"
"No! Garmadon." Kai grunted in frustration. "Right. That would make more sense." Jay realized. "My dad is behind this?" Lloyd asked dejectedly.
"If he destroys the dojo where will we train Lloyd?" Cole asked. "Any chance you have $50,000 in that teapot?" Dareth asked. "Worry not, Dareth. You are not in this alone. We're all with you." Wu answered.
"Did you say $50,000?" Nya asked as she came in. "You didn't win the lottery, did you?" Jay gasped. "Aw come on. Everyone knows the lottery's rigged." Crystal said flatly.
"No, but I heard about Ninjaball Run." She told us. "Ninjaball Run?" We asked. "It's the biggest road race in Ninjago. With a prize of 100,000 big ones. And it's tomorrow." Nya told us.
"I thank you little lady fighter. But you're talking about the most dangerous race known to man. Only the most serious of racers even stand a chance." Dareth said dramatically.
"But didn't you just do some upgrades to our Ultrasonic Raider? Maybe we stand a chance!" Kai perked up. "And I can enter with my Dragon! You did say I needed the practice." Lloyd shrugged.
"I could enter with my motorcycle." Crystal smirked. "You have a motorcycle? What lunatic sold that to you?" Kai folded his arms.
"I'll have you know that it is my own creation, so ha." Crystal laughed. "So it is decided. You will all enter this Ninjaball Run to save the dojo." Wu concluded.
Dareth started crying again. "Are you still crying?" Nya asked him. "Yes, but these are happy tears."
The next day, we were prepping for the race. "You look nervous, Lloyd. You alright?" Cole asked. "Nervous? Maybe for you guys." Lloyd chuckled.
