The next morning at sunrise, we arrived at the Dark Island.
Kai and I were doing some spying on the Stone Army, and thankfully, they didn't see us. We ran back to the Bounty to report what we found.
"This whole island is swarming with Garmadon's indestructible Stone Army." Kai reported.
"And with how often they patrol, it won't be long until we're discovered." I added. "Good thing we're ninja and we know how to hide." Jay laughed.
"Who wants to hide when you can fight? I'm getting tired of having our heads buried in the sand. I wanna fight these guys!" Cole grunted angrily.
"But Cole! They have no apparent weakness! It would be unwise to start a fight we cannot finish." Zane explained.
"That is why we must find the Temple of Light." Wu said from the doorway. He took us inside and we gathered around the table where Misako was studying.
"The scrolls say there is a hidden Temple on the island. If you find it, it will give the ninja pure Elemental powers. Powers that can destroy the indestructible army!" She told us.
"So we're saying we get to fight? Woo hoo!! I've got happy feet!" Cole cheered.
"And you, my son, here it is written. 'For once the Green Ninja finds the Instrument of Peace, he will strike it, and know the power of the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master." Misako smiled.
"Ultimate Spinjitzu Master?" Lloyd asked excitedly.
"It means you will be able to invoke the power of the Golden Dragon, an ancient fighting style, only practiced by the First Spinjitzu Master." Misako explained as our jaws hit the ground.
Lloyd smiled slyly. "He he he. Jealous?"
"Now, wait a minute. This all sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?" Kai asked.
"The catch is, the Temple could be anywhere on the island, and all we have is this." Wu held up a circular object with three holes in it.
"A medallion! It's like a compass. When the three holes match up, the medallion will reveal where the Temple is hidden." Dr. Julien explained.
"How'd you know that?" Jay asked. "Oh, I did a lot of reading in my spare time. Adventure stories were my favorite." The doctor answered.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Zane took the medallion from his father and started to lead us away. "Not you, Lloyd." Wu stopped him. "Aw, seriously? Are we still doing this?" Lloyd asked angrily.
"Wu is right. If you were to come across your father. It could prematurely start the Final Battle. We need to be at full strength before we take any risks." Misako sighed.
"Ha ha ha. Jealous?" Jay asked slyly. "The world is round, my Green Ninja friend." I shrugged. Lloyd scoffed.
"Well, I could use some help around the shop. We should get working on vehicles that might help give us a fighting chance." Dr. Julien encouraged.
"Remember, Garmadon doesn't know we're on the island. It is imperative that you stay out of sight." Wu ordered.
"We can handle this." Crystal assured. "Of course, Sensei, don't worry! Have you ever known us to veer from a plan, hmm?" Jay asked.
Misako, Wu and Lloyd looked at us blankly.
"Ninja..!" We started before Wu shushed us. "Not so loud! Are you trying to get us caught?"
"Go." We whispered and ran. We hid on a rock behind the wall and waited.
"This must be Garamadon's camp!" Jay whispered. "No, you think? I thought it was a takeout restaurant!" Kai whispered back sarcastically.
