Molly Hooper-Lestrade, Greg Lestrade, Elizabeth Hooper-Lestrade, Irene Adler, Sebastian Moran , and Jim Moriarty all sat in the living area of 221b as they awaited the arrival of the birthday boys. They all held presents of different sizes and shapes, hoping they would please both the boys and their picky parents. Soon enough Sherlock and John emerged from the nursery holding their sons. Sherlock's hair was messy and his shirt wrinkled while John was clean as ever.

"Hamish put up a fight when I tried to dress him." Sherlock replied tiredly before setting Hamish on the floor to crawl around. He took a seat in his chair as did John while the boys crawled around happily and played with Molly and Greg's 3 year old daughter Elizabeth.

Irene chuckled and handed one gift to Sherlock and one to John.

"Sherlock that gift is for William and John that one's for Hamish."

John grabbed one of his sons and sat him on his lap.

"Let's see what auntie Irene bought for you Hamish!" Sherlock sighed.

"John that's William...this is Hamish." He handed him Hamish and took William into his arms.

"Hamish is the fussiest and has that small crescent moon birthmark by his ear. William's birthmark is slightly larger and on his neck." John huffed.

"We aren't all geniuses Sherlock!"

Irene laughed.

"It's alright John. It takes time to notice the differences between them." John nodded.

They opened gifts for about half an hour and separated the gifts into two piles of clothes and toys. They ate cake, played games, and sang songs till late in the night. At around 6 everyone began to part ways and head home. Sherlock and John thanked everyone and told them to pop by any time for a visit.

Sherlock yawned as he carried William into the nursery. John was sitting in one of the rocking chairs with Hamish. Sherlock sat in the rocking chair next to him and fixed his hold on William.

"Shall we sing for them tonight?" John nodded.

"They like when you sing that song from The Hobbit. Misty Mountains right?" Sherlock smiled and nodded. Sherlock began to rock in the chair a bit. Sherlock took a deep breath and began to sing in his low baritone voice.

"Far over, the misty mountains cold

To dungeons deep, and caverns old.

We must away, 'ere break of day

To find our long forgotten gold."

William yawned in Sherlock's arms and rested his head against his shoulder. Hamish squirmed to comfortable in John's grasp.

"The pines were roaring on the height.

The winds were moaning in the night

The fire was red, it flaming spread

The trees like torches, blazed with light."

Just like magic, the song had lulled the twins to sleep tightly nestled against their fathers.
