The boys begged to go to a comic con for their 10th birthday and said that EVERYONE had to dress up. John was dressed as Bilbo Baggins from the Hobbit.
"You look adorable John." Sherlock gave John a chaste peck on the lips. Sherlock was dressed as the dragon Smaug. He had an all red outfit complete with a tail and wings. Then emerged William and Hamish.
"We couldn't decide which characters we liked best....in the end we picked the two dwarven brothers!" William was dressed as Fili, with a fake beard and everything. William had his long blond hair braided and tied back in spots. Hamish was dressed as Kili, a fake bow with arrows slung across his back. He had makeup made stubble that matched his long brown hair.
"That's why you silly boys wanted to grow your hair?!"
"Yeah." Said Hamish.
"Wigs are itchy!" They laughed at their simultaneous response.
"All right all right! In the car. We don't want to be late." The boys hopped into the car and thus started the long ride to the convention hall.
They attended panels, played games, watched clips of new movies, and they won prizes for their costumes. The boys even met the actor of their favorite character Thorin Oakenshield. They excitedly told him how they've been read the book since they were born and that they wanted to be just like him when they grew up. Richard, the actor, laughed and patted the boys heads. They took pictures, got his autograph and soon enough were ready to go home. By the time they returned to the hotel, the boys and their fathers rid themselves of their costumes and slipped into a blissful dream filled sleep.
