The next morning, I woke up to my annoying alarm on my bed side table. I reached over and looked at the time.
6:10. Great
I slammed my hand down on the snooze button and turned around in my bed groaning. I don't exactly want to get up yet.
I feel asleep again for only about ten minutes before I heard my ringer tone go off.
I threw my arm backwards and tried to grab for my phone on the bed side table behind me. I finally caught hold of it and looked at the screen with one squinting eye.
It was a message from my mom. Seriously? i looked at it again after looking away for a second so I could get used to the glare from my screen.
Hey honey. What did you want for breakfast? -mom
I didn't even think about what I should say back because I just got up, walked to the door and down the stairs.
When I reached the kitchen, I looked at my mom.
"Seriously? A text? Why couldn't you just call me down and ask? Like the old days?" I asked.
"Well, I was busy cooking and didn't want to burn anything so I texted you. And what do you mean 'the old times'? Don't we still act like the old days still?" my mom responded back completely oblivious of my disapproving look towards her.
I scoffed at her words and started to get up. "Never mind. I'm not eating. I have to get ready for school."
"Are you sure? I could leave you some."
"Absolutely."
"Oh well I guess more for me and the others. " She laughs it off.
I some-what stomped up the stairs and to my room. I closed my door and started to grab the necessities I needed for a shower.
20 minutes later, I was out of the shower and half way down blow drying my hair. When I finished, I started to put on my mascara and grabbed any accessories I set out for my outfit and put them on.
When I finally was on my way to the school, it was around 6:55. That meant I still had another 45 minutes to spare.
I decided to go a tad bit out of my way to the small cafe about two or three blocks away since I skipped breakfast.
When I got there about ten minutes later, I decided to ask if Lana and Stacey wanted to come and meet me here.
Stacey said she couldn't make it because she was still getting ready while Luna said she would be here in five.
While I waited, I walked up to the counter to see if my cappachino was ready.
When I was walking, a guy turned without looking and too fast for me to comprehend that he was coming right in my direction and he plowed right into me.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I'm in a major rush but that's still not a good enough excuse to walk right into you. God. Are you okay?"
I looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah. I'm fine. Just a tad bit startled, but fine."
He looked at me for a second probably expecting me to change my reply into a 'no, I'm not fine. You just ran me right over!', but I just gave him a reassuring smile to which he gladly replied.
"Alright. Well, I really have to go. Sorry again. Wait! Before I go, what is your name?"
"Victoria. You?"
"Justin. Sorry I cant talk but maybe I'll see you around. See ya later!" With that, he was out of the cafe doors in an instant.
Wow he really was in a rush.
