Peter's POV

I walked to the camp fire, sitting next to the only girl on the island. She was hanging upside down off of one of the logs, allowing her H/L H/C to fall onto the floor below her.

She sighed upon seeing who had sat next to her, not even bothering to look at me as she spoke.
"What do you need now, Pan?" She asked with annoyance in her tone.
Okay, we may have hated each other but we knew each other very well, we could tell when one and other needed help and, we'd be the one's to help them.

However, this time I found myself just wanting a to talk to her. It was weird, right?

"Nothing. I'm just sitting, can't I do that on my own island?" I asked with a smirk which I knew she couldn't stand. She rolled her eyes, though her lips were tugging upwards.
"Are you... Trying to hide a smile?" I pretended to not know that she obviously was and make it seem more of a question.
She instantly glared at me. I wasn't going to lie, she could be a little scary when she wanted to be.
"Yeah, right. Anyway, I have things to do. I suppose I'll see you later... Maybe when you're less annoying." She muttered the last part as she got up.
She began walking away and I couldn't help but smile all of a sudden.
"Maybe you'll be less moody!" I shouted after her, she turned to me and stuck her tongue out before continuing her walk into the forest. She was a little childish, a little innocent despite her sass and I liked that. She made me laugh a few times, not that I'd ever tell her.

Eventually supper came, I was in a foul mood and stayed in my tent. My days attempt of trying to find the heart of the truest believer had, once again, failed.

I sat at the edge of my bed, unsure of what I would do if these attempts kept failing.

Suddenly, and without warning, Y/N entered my tent, swinging the curtain carelessly to the side whilst I held my head in my hands.
I tried to look up before she noticed how vulnerable I looked right now but I was too late.

She held a concerned look on her face, something I had never seen before.
"What's wrong?" She asked, slowly stepping towards me before kneeling down on one knee to meet my eyes. She gently pushed my hair from my face whilst I avoided eye contact. Why could I lie to everyone on the island without a single sign of it but not with her?
"Nothing." I replied, looking around the room, at the floor, at my shoes, anything but her.
"You're such a bad liar." She said knowingly, making my eyes dart to her.
"I'm a great liar, you're just... Difficult." I defended, she smirked.
"You just admitted you lied. Try again, smartass."
I groaned and pushed her hands away from me, even if they were somewhat comforting.
"Why can't you just leave me alone?" I asked in anger, she shrugged as she stood up.
"Why can't you just tell me you're dying?!" She spat back, almost sounding betrayed.
I looked up with surprise. How would she have known?
"Word travels, Peter. How long did you think you could hide it for? It's obvious you're becoming weaker!" By now she was almost shouting at me.
Peter? When did she start calling me that?
"I..."
"You?" She questioned.
"I thought if I kept it from you, I'd sort it myself and you'd never need to know."
"How's that working out for you?" She asked rhetorically, I rolled my eyes and murmured a 'bad'.
"Exactly! You're so damn impossible, Peter!" She said before going to leave.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"To fix your problem." She simply replied before completely leaving which left me to wonder what she meant.

One week later

"Still no sign of her, Pan!" Felix announced: Y/N had been missing since she told me she was going to 'fix my problem'.
I groaned, we must have searched every inch of the island and with no luck.
"Well look harder!" I ordered. Honestly, I didn't know why her being missing upset me so much and worried me as much as it did. It was weird.

Suddenly, a white mist flew around the camp before dissolving to reveal a girl with H/C hair and big E/C eyes. Y/N.
She stood with who I recognised as the boy with the heart of the truest believer.
She ruffled his hair and he opened his tightly shut eyes, probably scared of the flying.
"Y/N! Where were you?" I asked, suddenly on autopilot as I ran to her and hugged her. She stiffened instantly and I quickly pulled back after realising what I had just done. Why had I just done that?!

Her cheeks were now a slight pink shade and her eyes were pretty wide with shock.
"W-well... I told you I'd fix the problem." She said, attempting to gain confidence as she straightened her back and cleared her throat before continuing.
"I did just that. Now, if you'll excuse me." With that she quickly walked off, back to her hut.

Y/N's POV

Weeks had passed, so it seemed, and Peter... he failed. I was so frustrated, I couldn't contain it. I had accidentally set off floods on the beach and knocked down trees on an almost daily basis.

The boys had turned to me as a leader and I was trying to be one, as well as studying spells and trying to find a freaking cure for death.

Peter's body; it was kept in his old hut with a preserving spell to keep him looking the same age as he was before that idiot stabbed him.

I groaned and slammed my head onto the wooden desk in front of me.
"Still no luck?" The newest member of the lost boys asked, walking into my hut without knocking. He was like an older brother to me so I didn't shout at him for not knocking.

I turned around and nodded, a look of self disappointment on my face.
"Well..." he hesitantly began.
"We had an idea. The lost boys and I, but it only works if you hear it out." I arched an eyebrow and he continued.
"True loves first kiss. I'm aware it's a long shot but it's the last hope we have and it was pretty obvious you two cared for each other, from what I can gather from the others." He rushed out, worried I'd interrupt him and point out how wrong he was, but I didn't.

I slowly got up and agreed to give it a shot.

I walked into Peter's old hut and sat next to his unconscious body.
"Okay, Y/N, you can do this. It's not a big deal. It's completely normal." I attempted to lie to myself to make it seem less weird to me, which didn't work.

I quickly placed my lips onto his and waited for some sort of reaction.
His chest began moving up and down, loud and deep breaths leaving his mouth before his eyes flickered open.
I couldn't help but grin.
"YOU'RE ALIVE!" I practically screamed and he hushed me.
"It took you long enough..." he said as though he'd known for ages that this would work.
"Pardon?"
He gave a faint smile.
"It was rather obvious... us two. Looking back at it, I sort of see that."
I groaned, rolling my eyes.
"I wish you'd have told me that sooner."
"Oh yeah, let me just send you a letter from hell, shall I?" He sarcastically questioned.
It was good to have him back.
