This can't be happening. Faith thought, her eyes watering as Malcolm grabbed her arm. "Faith...what did you do...?" Malcolm asks. Faith shoves his arm away and she runs to the bathroom. She runs into a stall, slamming and locking the door as she sat down. Tears spill out of her eyes. "F-Fifteen minutes until lunch is ov-over..." she mumbles under her breath. She takes out a small first-aid kit from her pocket, she keeps it there for these types of situations. Faith quickly takes off the old bandages and wraps her left arm with new ones, also cleaning the cuts.Sighing, Faith takes out her phone and ear buds, pressing her back against the stall door. She shuffles a playlist on her phone and "Some Nights" by Fun begins playing. Faith begins to sing softly,
"Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck, some nights I call it a draw.
Some nights I wish that my lips could build a castle, some nights I wish they'd just fall off..."
Malcolm's POV (Point Of View)
Malcolm was rushing down the long hallway, searching for Faith. He goes to a nearby water fountain and takes a drink, tired from all the running. All of a sudden, he hears soft singing from the girls bathroom.
"But I still wake up, I still see your ghost
Oh Lord, I'm still not sure what I stand for."
He also hears quiet sobbing, then the singing stops. "Wh-What do I stand for..." The girl sobs. He immediately recognizes the voice. "Faith?" he asks, sticking his head through the opening of the bathroom. Faith hiccups and tries to calm herself down. "W-What." she asks, kind of sternly. "Are you okay? Do you need anything?" Malcolm asks kindly, walking in the bathroom. (AN: I know I know, he shouldn't go in since he's not a girl. I get it. But he's trying to be a good friend, okay?) Faith's breath hitches. "What I need is for you to stay away from me!" she yells at him. Malcolm sighs, knocking on the stall door. "Open up now, Faith." "No." "Fine then." Malcolm crawls under the door, looking at Faith right in the eyes. "What's wrong." He asks, now being the stern one. "Nothing." Faith replies, turning her head away. "Then why did you bandage your arm?" "Because..." Faith starts, then stays quiet, mumbling under her breath, "Bella..." "Bella?" Malcolm asks, looking down at her arm. Faith starts explaining quietly what happened after the "date".
After a few moments of silence piercing the air, Malcolm hugs Faith gingerly. "I'm so sorry..." "It's not your fault." Faith replies, but not hugging back. She felt a little...dead after the incident. The bell rings, signalling that lunch was over. Faith gets up, pushing Malcolm off of her. "Faith." "What?" "Are we still friends?" "...I guess." And with that, Faith unlocks the door and sprints out of the bathroom and too her next class.
