Clarke's POV
"Bellamy?" I say, under my breath.
"Hey," he says, with a smile on his face.
"What are you doing here?" I say, punching him in the arm. "I thought you were dead."
"I know, I'm sorry."
We walk over to a bench, and sit down.
"So, you got a new heart?"
"Yeah. Good as new."
"Well why didn't you bother to tell me?" I say, trying not to get mad.
"I did, but I knew that you ditched your parole. I didn't want you to go back there and get arrested.
"Also," he continues. "I didn't think you would even want to see me again. Not after I broke your heart."
I remain silent. I think back to all the time I spent at the hospital. Waiting for him to get better. Why would he think I wouldn't want to see him again. I start to fill with anger, but fight against it.
"So anyways," Bellamy says. "I was talk to Gina and she and Octavia decided that-"
"Who's Gina?"
"She's my new girlfriend," Bellamy says quietly.
Almost so quiet that I didn't here.
"What?"
"Gina," he says, almost ashamed. "She's my new girlfriend."
I feel what's left of my heart break. How could I let him do this again? Let him break my heart again. At this point I can't hold my anger back anymore. I jump up and attack him. I just start punching and hitting him. I keep going, and he doesn't even fight it.
I stop, only realize what I had done. I look at his blood on my hands, as a tear falls down my face.
"Bellamy, I-"
I can't say anything else. Two police officers have arrived, and are arresting me. As I am being driven away, I glance back, only to see Bellamy mouth the words "I forgive you" through the window.Bellamy's POV
I return home, and immediately rest an ice pack on my cheek.
"What happened?" Gina asks, as she comes in from the other room.
"It's nothing. I'm fine"
I am fine. I'm ok with the fact that Clarke beat me up. She needed to release her anger. I understand. Better me than a stranger right?
Gina lifts the ice pack, to reveal a multicolored bruise. I wince, as she sets it back down. I'm glad I have her here, but she's not Clarke.Clarke's POV
I sit in a holding cell for about two hours. Normally, they would probably just let me go after 24 hours, but I'm not normal. By this time, Ms. Reyes has shown up. She walks into the room where my cell is.
"Clarke Griffin," she says with a smile. "I didn't think I'd see you again."
I don't say anything, so she continues.
"You know, for a "dangerous felon" you aren't that good at hiding from police officers."
"It took you two months to find me didn't it?" I say, with a smug smile on my face.
"Clarke, you're going back to jail."
"What?"
"Your trial is in two weeks, and I'm guessing you have no one to pay the bail."
Bellamy's all I have left, and I doubt that he would pay it."
"See you in two weeks."Two weeks later
Bellamy's POV
I walk into the courtroom. They are still working on a case when I arrive. Against Gina and Octavia's advice, I'm here. Like it or not, I care about Clarke. I have to be here to support her. The judge comes to a verdict, and some people leave.
Clarke and her lawyer enter the room. We lock eyes, as she walks to her seat. I sit down in one of the front rows, and sit right behind her.
"What are you doing here Bellamy?" She asks in a whisper and without turning around.
"I had to be."
"Like as a witness," Clarke says as she turns and looks at me.
"No," I saw, meeting her eyes. "Moral support and stuff like that."
"I bet Gina's not happy about it," she says turning back around.
"No, she's not"Clarke's POV
The trial is very short. I know the drill. They try to rush us out as soon as possible. I don't understand why Bellamy is here. I mostly zoned out, and though about it. Finally, something catches my attention.
"14 months," the judge finishes.
It's less than I was supposed to get. Ms. Reyes shows no emotion. I'm not entirely convinced she's on my side anymore. A guard comes over and takes me to processing.
Once we are all ready, we walk single file to the bus. I sit down next to someone.
"First time?" She asks, not taking her eyes off of the window.
"No."
"Same," she turns, and extends a hand to me. "I'm Racheal. But here, we go by last names, so Woods."
