Written on the box
Like theres something important in there and you dont want to drop it
The title keeps us so cautious
But the brain doesnt always allow the words to stop us from abusing its purpose anyways
There it goes slipping out of your hands
Like the sand on the beach that you played in as a kid
Building the little castle that you had your fairytale dreams in
And it all eventually gets washed away by the sea water, and theres a lump of sand left, yet to be touched
SMACK
To the ground it drops and the only thing thats left is the sign on the box
Shattered to pieces was the object inside
Did you read the label but let it slide and ignore the purpose of what the words providedYou open the box to see what has broken,
Digging through the other trinkets that surround it
Black
Blue
Purple
The colors you see
Then you get to the bottom,
There was the shattered pieces, so deep
You widen your eyes at the sight of the thing
Frightened and worried of how it could be
The one thing so dear to another persons heart
And you dropped the box, that had signaled caution from the start
You try to think of solutions and problem solvers
But its too late the object was demolished
The only solution left was an apology
And a generous offer
You cant refix and polish it up for what its cost
