Dipper's POV

"Are you sure this is okay?" Mabel asked, slipping on her annoyingly pink sneakers. "What if this really is a trap?"

"Then we'll trap him," Dipper opened the door and held it for her as she walked out and towards the woods.

"Okay what if it isn't a trap and he's genuine? Being his friend after everything he's done will be...weird, Dip." She made a sour face and shook her head.

"We won't have a choice, it would be much better then being at his control again. And if he really does just want to be friends then that will give us the benefit of helping others he hurt."

Mabel nodded and walked around a tree in front of them, dragging her hand across the bark.

"I still don't understand how he knew we were here and why he suddenly had a change of heart, there's plenty of other people he could have gone to...to 'redeem' himself."

"Maybe we had the biggest impact?"

"Of course we did, we're the best duo to ever live." She laughed and smiled warmly towards her brother, the braces no longer hiding her teeth.

"The best? I disagree, Grunkle Stan and Stanford are the greatest duo to exist."

"Undoubtedly," She giggled.

I woke up in the room me and Mabel share and saw her hovering above me with a strange look. She didn't say anything as she stared at me like I was a caged animal.

What happened? How did I end up in here? All I remember is...I sat up quickly. What did Bill do to us?

"Mabel, where is Bill?" I asked looking into her eyes with fear. Mabel looked at me confused.

"What do you mean Bro-Bro? He's gone, we erased him from existence, are you okay?" I took a moment to let her words sink in and sighed dramatically as I figured he probably did something to make her memories distorted.

She was still wearing her annoying pink shoes, so I didn't imagine us walking into the woods earlier.

I ignored Mabel as I stood and grabbed my journal from the nightstand. The newest journal by Gruncle Ford, journal four. I had been waiting for a good reason to read it, maybe i'll find an answer as to why Bill was back and more human.

I walked absentmindedly for a while and got lost in thought of the possibilities of Bill returning, each reason made less and less sense in my head as time passed. I could try to stop him, but how? A twig snapped behind me and I turned quickly and looked out around the tall trees. nothing.

"Who's there?" I asked. "I have a, um, a weapon and i'm not afraid to use it," I lifted my fists up helplessly and knew I wouldn't win in any fight with my arms the size of twigs.

"Put your flimsy hands down Pine~tree," Bill spoke and I backed up, I didn't even notice him standing so close. "I'm not here to hurt you princess, I came to ask if you were alright?"

I stared at him dumbfounded, What is this guy trying to get at? I put my hands down to my side and laughed nervously. I could totally beat this skinny chip in a fight any day, he has no idea who he's dealing with! I puffed my chest out in pride and he began to giggle.

I took another step back and snorted. "What..?" I asked. "What did you do to me and Mabel? Why doesn't she remember anything and I can only remember pieces?"

"There might have been a little, muck up,"

"Muck up? What did you do?" Dipper screamed.

Bill became hysterical in his laughter and I flinched back every time he gasped for air. "You-" He laughed harder and clutched at his stomach. "Are. So. Adorable."

"What?!" I yelled in surprise.

"Trust me little cone, nothing bad, and, the only fight you can win is against your sister," He straightened up and smiled at me. "But probably not even then."

"What did you say twinkle toes?" I huffed. "I could totally-" I froze, I didn't think I said anything about fighting him out loud, did I? "How did you-?"

"Of course you didn't say it out loud Pine~tree," Bill smiled at me awkwardly but that just made me more confused, Did he..read my mind?

"Maybe, maybe not. Why don't you think of me naked and I'll let you know?" Bill winked at me and I opened my mouth to speak but my mind went blank. I forgot he could read peoples minds. The urge to vision him naked was tempting for some odd reason but I would never take him up on the offer, even if the mental image of him did make me warm up inside, but I couldn't tell if that was a good thing or not.

Bill smiled evilly and stepped closer to me, every step he took forward I took a step back, this continued until my back hit a tree and Bill slammed his hands on either side of my face, trapping me between him and the tree.
