Bill's POV

I watched as Dipper stumbled and began to fall back as if in slow motion. I reacted on instinct as I reached out to him and caught his small body before he could hurt himself.

''Dipper!'' I saw Dipper's little group of friends run up to us.

I picked up Dipper in a way that could only be described as a married couple holding each other and pulled him as close to my body as humanly possible.

''Come near me and my Dipper...And I WILL hurt you all."

The dumb kids stood and glared at me as if I was a stranger in a foreign land. I didn't notice it at first because of the absolute maturity of the group but these were no longer kids but grown adults. I smiled inwardly at how much time has truly passed since I last saw my dear Dipper.

I felt Dipper tense in my arms and I looked hopefully down into his chocolate brown eyes. My heart soared at seeing him again even though it hadn't even been a minute since he passed out.

''YOUR Dipper?" Dipper seethed as he pushed against my chest and thrashed his legs around. Why is he always trying to run away from me? Doesn't he know I would never hurt him the way I did before?

I was confused and hurt, why won't he understand??

I stared down intimidatingly at my little cone and he paled and struggled more. I could tell his friends where frozen and weren't sure what to do, what was with everyone just standing and doing nothing to help the boy? Even I was a bit disappointed in the boys friends and family. I would be able to protect him in a way they would never be able to.

My eyes stilted and I could tell they were turning red by the look of utter fear on my Dippers beautiful face.

"Listen to me, Pine~tree," I boomed and my voice echoed around the clearing. "I. CAN. PROTECT. YOU."

"I-" He whispered in fear.

"Look at your friends, they're just standing there and doing nothing." I glared at his little posse and they all flinched back. I saw his sister go to speak but I whipped my hand up in lightning speed and levitated her. She yelped and stopped what she was saying.

"You think they can protect you?" I yelled harshly and finally dropped Dipper to the ground.

"Stop please. Leave them alone, i'm sorry." Dipper's voice shook and I realized this wasn't the way to get my little pine~tree to understand why I was here.

I glared and tried to calm myself down for him but nothing seemed worked. I saw a tear slide down his rose-stained cheeks. My eyes turned back to normal and I was instantly by his side, setting his sister back down gently on the ground. I hugged him trying to soothe him but I knew I messed up this time and I had to deal with what was to come.
