“It’s time for us to go sweet heart” my mother seemed unsteady. “Momma, what’s going on?” I looked up at her. “Nothing, now come on…” she was cut off as a werewolf slammed into the door, causing it to cave in. “No!” my mom shouted.

“Go in the hidden room” She called me. “But momma…” “I said go!” she growled. I got up, and dodged the wolf that lunged out at me, hitting my mom. “Momma!” I screamed. “Just go!” she shouts back to me. I ran out of the room, hearing glass shattering, barking, swearing, and all that nonsense you hear when there’s a huge fight breaking out. I kept on running, going to that hidden door that was behind a painting.

I entered the code with shaky hands, nearly messing up. The latch popped out as I swung the painting open, pushing open the door, shutting both painting and door shut. I curled to my side near a corner as I heard my mother screaming.

Why was this happening? Why was another colony fighting us? My parents are going to be okay, right? I mean my dad’s Alpha. He’s strong enough to fight them. We’re going to be okay, everything’s going to go back to normal. It’s just another nightmare, and I’m going to wake up any moment. My eyes became heavy to keep open; I closed my eyes, practically crying myself asleep softly.
