“You know Lone, you won’t always be the outcast” Derek said as we were hanging out in my room. “I know. It’s just hard cooperating in a new environment.” I continued to stare at the same cracks I the wall that I have been since I got here. “That’s because you’re unsure of your surroundings. You’ll be fine” he gave me a reassuring smile. I couldn’t help but return one.

That was something Derek was always was good at, making others smile. It might be because he has a contagious smile, his personality and characteristics. Or just straight up because he was an Omega, playing his roll.

“So what’s this ‘Annual Race’ Ronnie was talking about in that meeting earlier today.” I quickly sat up, starring at him this time. “It’s what it sounds like. Everyone—except for the kids and the Luna’s—arrange a race” He shrugged.

“Beta’s are in charge of formation and which place we sit in the race. Sort of like a seating arrangement in class, except as soon as the gun goes off, you obviously run” he paused for a bit.

“Use Omega’s have to do more on the other hand. We have to find a location, decorate it, find out where we race through, and figure out the entertainment. Prepare and organize the food, drinks, and snacks. Most importantly, we make sure everyone has a fun time.” I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him as he finished listing down all his duties for just one event.

“Alpha’s supervise, others just stand by or straight up unaware of when we’ll have the race” he sighed, sitting down next to me.

“Why didn’t you ask me for help? There would be less work for you and you won’t be that stressed.” At this point I stood up right in front of him. “Since you’re bloodline is filled with Alpha’s. You don’t deserve this treatment. You were born a Luna and if the time comes, you take on responsibility and become Alpha.” His tone held pride and respecting—something I wasn’t used to. I guess he was used to it since he was born in an all Omega family.

“Now don’t feel bad. Like I said, it’s only a matter of time till you start fitting in, and get the respect you deserve. None of this bullshit you have to put up with” he shucked his head with discuss.

“Come on, food should be ready now” he opened the door, escorting me down stairs

I really do suck at uploading, don’t I?
