Chapter 9: Prom and the song

~~~Natsu's POV~~~

I woke up this morning to hugs by my sisters and my parents smiling at me "Happy birthday Natsu!!" They all said together. "Hehehe thx!" I got and hugged them all a little tight! "Go get ready YOU have school still, oh and son walk with Lucy to school today." "I always do dad!" I said as they walked out.

After I got changed I walked out and saw Lucy "Hehe hi Natsu!" "Morning Luce!" I closed the door and started to walk with Lucy. "Happy birthday Natsu! Hehehe!" Luce said and hugged me "Uh um t-thx! Hehehe" we continue to walk laughing and talking all way to school. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATSU!!" I heard my friends say I smiled "Thx guys!" 

~~~Lucy's POV~~~After school~~~

I was getting ready for prom and grabbed my book and started to read over the words to song before I had to sing it to Natsu and in front of the whole school. I heard the door bell and I answered it "H-Hi Natsu!" "L-Luce you amazing" I blushed a little "Thx, you look handsome!" We walked out and i yelled bye to my mom and closed the door. I got in a car and saw all of our friends. "Hehehehe you excited Lucy?" Juvia asked and I nodded. Mira winked at me and I smiled. "I'm soo excited!" "Bet you are Lu! What about you Natsu?" I looked over at Natsu. "Yea I'm excited! Hehehe what about you Gray and Loke?" "Yup!" I laughed at the boys who were looking at there dates who was Juvia and Cana. "I swear Loke if you dare touch me and try anything funny I'll kill you!!" Loke gulped and nodded which made me and Natsu laugh "Fine but you better drink or else!" "Deal!" We all laughed at there agreement because we all knew Loke and Cana.

We arrived at prom and we all went are own way. Me and Natsu went to a table and started talking. Cana and Loke went to dance with Jella and Erza. Mira, Laxus, Bickslow, and Lisanna went to food table. Juvia went to request a song. 

~~~Time skip Lucy's song~~~ 

Mira walked up and grabbed my hand. "Sorry Natsu we need to talk! Hehehe come on Lucy it's time" "A-Already?!" Mira nodded and told the DJ our plan. Mira,Erza,Levy,and Lis set up the stage. "I was gonna try without the song but I failed on getting the message threw.." they laughed a little "Come Lu get ready!" I nodded and smiled.

"Okay gentlemen and ladies, listen up we have some girls who are play you guys a song so I give them the stage" the DJ said as he walked off and I walked to the microphone, I took a deep breath and looked at the girls they nodded. They started to play then I started to sing.(play media)

"How I try, written down the words to say, it is time, I've been waiting five days to explain, how you make me feel inside (baby), got it all figured out, wanna do this right, there's no doubt in my mind, baby you're the one. And tonight I am going all the way, but when you touch my hand it all goes away. The things I plan, the things I would say, now I keep rambling on, I sound so cliche, what am I trying to do is say I love you. The crowd started to cheer and clap and I looked at Natsu. Mira came in whisper in my ear and I nodded. "Excuse, I want to say something before I get off the stage. Happy birthday Natsu! I-I L-Love you!!" I started to blush and look down in embarrassment. I heard aws in the crowd. I got down from the stage with the girls "LUCY YOU DID YOU CONFESSED NOW JUST WAIT FOR HIS ANSWER!!" I smiled at Mira who was squealing like a crazy girl I laughed. "L-Luce...can I-I talk to you?" I heard someone say I turn to see Natsu. "Y-Yea!" I followed Natsu out of the gym. "L-Luce I-I LOVE YOU TOO!!" Natsu said and looked down embarrassed. "Natsu...Heh Natsu." I hugged him and kissed his cheek. "Luce will you be my girlfriend?" "Yes Natsu!"
